2025-2026 NFL Season Thread

Interesting discussion on the radio about who the NFL wants to see in the Super Bowl. Probably Dallas on the NFC side, but the AFC is interesting. Radio says Kansas City but I really like the Chargers' story in all this. I know they don't really have a fanbase, but the young team in a new city making a name for itself over the bigger LA team -- I can't help rooting for them to come out of the AFC.

Having said that, I do like the thought of a Philly/Indy Super Bowl. It won't happen, but it'd apparently be the first time both #6 seeds made it.

Replace probably with DEFINATELY.
Up until super bowl 40 the cowboys were in 3 of the 4 most watched super bowls ever.

I think the idea is that if we can get past the Bears, then we go to LA to play a Rams team we already beat there, and then we’d presumably go back down to face a Saints team that whooped us a couple of months ago but clearly isn’t as dominant and we’ve definitely improved in the last few weeks. If we can somehow get over that hurdle, then we’re in the dance again and anything can happen.

I realize how ridiculous this might sound, but stranger things have happened.

I think you beat the Bears quite easily. Rams game will be tough though.

Not saying the Rams would be easy, but we’ve at least seen them before on the road with Foles starting, and we prevailed. But I honestly don’t know what to expect against the Bears.

It feels like the Bears are a year away from a real run. Young team that will learn a lot heading into next season. You guys are the champs.

This may be true but their defense is really good right now. If they can keep this squad together for a few seasons....scary.

Oh I believe, but belief only goes so far before reality sets in. The Eagles are extremely lucky to be playing this weekend and the Bears have the best defense in the field.
As long as there’s no fog, I think Philly has a chance.

Hilton might have fired up the Houston secondary by saying that playing in Houston was like a second home game for him.

As the NFL prepares to celebrate its 100th season in 2019, I'm told schedule-markers are considering a wrinkle: The Super Bowl winner will host either the traditional Thursday night kickoff game OR the Sunday night game in Week 1, with another “special” matchup in the other slot.

No clue what a special matchup means. Maybe Chiefs-Packers (assuming Chiefs don't win the SB) since they played in Super Bowl I.
