The NFL and NFLPA released a joint statement on Eric Reid and the drug testing policy:

"We take any claim questioning the integrity of our collectively bargained performance enhancing drug policy seriously. We asked the independent administrator of the policy to review and produce a report on the claims of targeting. A copy of this report, which contains personal and confidential testing information, has been provided to Eric Reid. We will not breach any player's confidentiality, but can confirm that the report documents the dates he was randomly selected for testing and the actual dates of the drug tests. The report also demonstrates that Mr. Reid's tests were randomly generated via computer algorithm and that his selection for testing was normal when compared with the number of tests players were randomly selected for throughout the league during the time that he was on an active roster. There is no evidence of targeting or any other impropriety with respect to his selection for testing."

If it was just the NFL saying this it could easily be a lie but the NFLPA also putting the statement out means it was seriously looked into. Also numerous reports are saying Reid has been lying about how often he was tested and the rate at which he's been tested is fairly normal.

If you don’t have anything to hide, it shouldn’t be a big deal.

We get random urine and hair follicle testing and I haven’t been tested in over 15 years. One of my coworkers got five randoms in one year.
Maybe I should play the lottery or just continue to do what it takes to keep my job.

We conduct weekly urinalysis tests at my work & I could go a month or two without being tested & one of my co-workers will get tested almost every week.

The longer the NYJ HC search goes on and given the comments made by McCarthy, I pray they do the right thing and avoid him at all costs which means they'll hire him.

Rage it could be worse because Marvin Lewis is now looking for work!

The NYC media seems to be ok with McCarthy, I know I would rather have him then some unknown coordinator or like I said Marvin Lewis or worse his buddy Hue!

Oh dear God no!

Eh, they're whatever with it, the beat writers say whatever will get clicks. I'd say half of the fanbase wants him, the other half wants them to go elsewhere (myself included)...we have a new franchise QB, we're getting a new look in terms of uniforms, gimme someone new for the HC position to complete the rebranding.

Because control of the roster was in his contract and they want to blow the team up, lose a bunch of games, and then draft Tua, and Gase wants to go 8-8. I'm not saying I approve of the strategy, just that is their reasoning.

If he was taken by the Jets and had the season he just did, you'd be praising his 'edge' and 'chip on his shoulder' the way Browns fans do now.

No matter how much people want to wish it so, he is not Manziel 2.0.

You are straight laughable!

You don't know me or what I would do, but if you did, you'd know that I detest arrogance/cockiness and while I initially thought that he'd be a great fit in NY/NJ prior to the draft, I am much happier with Sam's quiet humility. The way the majority (but not all) of CLE fans are behaving is ridiculous...God forbid you don't gush over him the way they do and critique him in the least and they come at you in force. So, right back atcha, Sweet Cheeks!
