Can't blame the coaches every year, he deserves some of the blame

Seven OC's and 3 HC's over his seven seasons with the team?!?! Nope that was on the Niners and I am saying this as a Niner fan. He wasn't even terrible or bad in those years but he excelled where there was consistency under Harbaugh and then Reid in KC. He was never gonna dazzle with crazy or deep throws down the field, he played smart, consistent, didn't turn the ball over. As a Niner fan I miss having that steady hand at the position. Hope Jimmy G can bring that back but just not enough game experience to know yet.

That doesn’t even make sense. Russell and Manzeil among a few others also went first, how’d they end up? Yet Smith is still playing as a starter. Harbaugh brought in more consistently but he also shipped him out for that idiot Kaep.

Good grief. Right when I think the debate over Alex Smith is over (after the millionth back and forth), it pops back up like a zombie. He's had a pretty solid career overall. Nothing mindblowing, but very solid. Not sure why he always gets so much hate.

They had off the field issues. Ran themselves out of the league quicker than most.

This Coleman guy is not very bright, refs gonna be looking to throw the flag on him after that title game. Should be keeping a low profile, but he's out here talking trash about Brady smh

This!
I’m not placing Smith on a pedestal, as he’s not splashy but solid. I wasn’t happy to hear Washington went after him, as a Philly fan, and playing him twice per year. Of course due to that horrible injury that never manifested itself.
Now missing a whole year is pretty devastating for Washington as they could definitely use a solid vet QB to help put out all the fires going on in that organization.

It's what I've been saying his whole career.. but because I said it it must be wrong to everyone else. His career has been filled with shit show after another, and none of that is on him. He probably would not com close to being Manning/Brady, but he is still starting.. that should tell everyone something. He's smart and doesn't turn the ball over, wowwwwwwww (but he's a "loser" and sucks.) He actually has a nice deep ball too, but as I've said, he's been in conservative systems much of his career.

Joo-Hyun Kang, the director of Communities United for Police Reform, told the New York Times that the union's comments about Bates are racist.

"If the allegations against Bates, including not paying his cab fare are true, he should be held accountable. But the constant use by NYPD unions of racist dog whistles to dehumanize and criminalize black communities must be condemned and end,” Kang said.

Are those the same Vegas guys that made Philly home dogs for 2 straight post season wins and then dogs in the Champ game last season?

Sean McVay will be the first coach in a SB born in the 80's. Bill Belichick was in high school for SB I. The age difference between McVay and Belichick is greater than McVays actual age. Lol. Just trying to survive this polar vortex over here.⛄️

Galdi had a great interview this morning discussing the "nuclear option," aka the Skins cutting Smith this offseason and just eating the $52M cap hit. If they designate him a post-June cut (I think that's the term?) then the hit gets divided between this and next year, which makes it manageable enough for the Skins to maneuver a bit (along with cutting Norman and Reed, possibly Zac Brown as well).

According to Over the Cap the Skins wouldn't gain any cap relief by cutting Smith vs keeping him. Either way he'd have a $20.4 million cap figure this year.

I didn’t get a chance to listen today. Seems like the today’s NFL can hit the reset button and contend within 2yrs.
A lot of folks(some around these parts as well ) thought the Eagles were done after Chip Kelly was fired. We all see how that turned out.
Redksins have some youth with upside. I’m sure they kicking themselves that one of their past assistants is coaching in the Super Bowl. Until the front office looks inward, which is difficult for FO’s to do, I suspect they will be middling for the foreseeable future.
In order to be elite, I believe you need at least 3 of 4:
1) Non-meddlesome owner
2) GM that knows talent and can work the cap
3) HC to that earns respect
4) franchise QB*

*ultra rare instances a HoF defense can be substituted here

Lions hired Texans QBs coach Sean Ryan as QBs coach.

Ryan had been a Texans assistant the past three years, coaching QBs from 2017-18. It's a lateral move for a coach who drew some coordinator buzz in 2018. It's quite possible Ryan serves as the "passing-game coordinator" for run-minded OC Darrell Bevell.
Source - Rotoworld.com

Side note, none of the QBs on the Redskins roster will ever sniff the NFCCG.

As much as I think Barstool Sports is run by a bunch of misogynist former frat boys, them (and PFT Commenter) infiltrating the Super Bowl media days for both teams was pretty funny and just goes to show you how much of a joke press credentials are.

I think Barstool gets sort of a bad rap. Yes, it's somewhat misogynistic, but it's nowhere near as bad as ESPN/NBC/Fox or even the NFL (see Jerry Richardson) when it comes to a history of sexual harassment/abuse. I also liked how the NFL kicked PFT Commenter out of media day but still used some of his questions in their highlight video from media day.
