According to ESPN though, Kubiak and Fangio had a lot of input on this decision so maybe this time it'll work out for the short term.
I'm okay with them trading a 4th rounder for a stopgap solution, starting QBs in the NFL can go for a lot more. Baltimore all in on Lamar Jackson.

He is a starting QB... doesn't mean he is a 'stopgap'.

Also a lot of money to tie up in to two QB's on the roster. Again, I am ultimately indifferent to what they do, not being a Broncos fan. It just seems like another derp move from Elway in regards to the QB position. They must think Flacco puts them in a better position to compete now but at the same time I am sure they are probably going to draft a QB either this year or next.

Flacco is just plugging a hole until Denver lands their foundation QB.
It can be argued he gives them a little better chance than Case, but clearly Vegas didn’t think so.

I’m sure they are taking one early this year. Flacco is just a band aid for them.

Vegas has been in business a long time. They stay in business by knowing their business.
They have forgotten more than anyone here will ever know when it comes to sports.

Flacco is not a long term solution. Lol, he would be the first to tell you that.
But if you want to believe he is, be my guest.

Just realized Flacco is 34.. didn't realize he was already that old. Knowing that, yeah he's a stop-gap, but only because of his age IMO.

Man, I didn't think he's been playing that long.

Nobody said they were perfect, just that they are right more than they are wrong.

So Fances, what you’re saying is that Flacco is the long term solution in Denver? Elway and Co. will use him has the foundation of the team? He will be the face of the franchise?

Read above Frances Sr., as I initially stated that Flacco could be the face that runs the place until I realized he's 34. I thought he was younger.

But, I still believe their SB chances improve if he's their starter.

Yep he’s a stopgap.
Lol, he’s had four straight years of declining stats, not to mention injury. He’s a push barring a miracle. The odds are against this move, and Vegas knows that.

So Kaep, reportedly, wanted $20mil to play in the AAF. Lol!
When the league clearly states all players get the same 3yr, non-guaranteed contract worth $250k.
And he wonders why no NFL team even gives him a thought. So what does Pig Socks do now? File a collusion case against the AAF.
Good riddance.

Not sure the accuracy of it, but Rovell tweeted out this morning that he was told that Kaepernick wanted more than $20 million to play in the AAF.
