I get trying to safe guard against injury, but I’m not sure he got the financial windfall he was expecting.
And he’s still not the highest paid RB in the league. The guy with the bum knee, Todd Gurley, is.

Further confirmation that his holdout was a spectacular failure. Didn't get his money and didn't get anything remotely long-term.

Honestly what does anybody care? I will never get why people are so invested in counting someone else's money. Not just saying this cuz he's a Jet now, I'd feel the same for any player. The guy had his reasons for doing what he did (money or God forbid perhaps even something that the general public is unaware of) and who are to judge whether or not it was a success or failure based solely on the merits of the deal he signed?

Earl Thomas made $8.5 million last year, broke his leg, and still got a 4-year, $55 million deal with $32 million fully-guaranteed including a $20 million signing bonus that makes him the second-highest paid safety despite being almost 30.

We had to hear about it so much, just figured there would've been a point to it all. Clearly there wasn't.

Some plans succeed and some fail, it's not the first time and it won't be the last. Such is life.

Yeah I just meant Bell got out of it without injury. Thomas didn't and if he holds out like he should've, he could've made more $ since he would've gotten a raise last year.
