They’re getting their cut somewhere. IIRC there was talk of stadiums opening their own sports books, if that’s really happening then I think owners get part of that revenue.

Still hate how it's done though.. through coach's challenges. They need to allow the booth from up above to review any play or non-flag. Coach only gets 2 or 3 challenges and that's not always enough.

If the refs did their job right the first time, all of this would be a non-issue..

I know I'm repeating myself but they need to penalize players who throw their hands up after what seems like every incomplete pass fishing for PI calls. That shit is ridiculous. Make it an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty....that will end the nonsense real quick.

Always glad to see football make tweaks/rule changes each year to improve the sport.
Perhaps MLB will figure this out one of these decades.
Although I think from technology standpoint the NFL has the ability to make every play reviewable by the booth. Keep the challenge flag/final 2mins of each half restrictions out of it.

I agree that it's annoying, but I don't think there's a fix. Every WR wants a flag, every QB wants a call, where does it stop?

Ref throws an Unsportsmanlike Conduct flag because a WR wanted a call, coach throws a challenge flag because he saw PI, both teams get a free time out as the refs/league office review the entire play several times, and we're up til past midnight for a game that started at 8:30pm lol

Coach only has so many challenge flags. The receiver waving his hands seems like it happens on every incomplete pass. More handwaving than challenge flags....I can live with the extra time. Too many late flags being thrown.
