I mean he got former players on record, not anonymous, saying they had similar experiences. Knowing how his family and ex girlfriend drama has been reported over the years it just seems like, for better or worse, he is a stubborn SOB.
McCarthy and the front office, ownership aren't blameless in this all but it seems like McCarthy made an effort to repair the relationship over the years but ultimately gave up because Rodgers was managements golden child, they were always going to be on his side. I get it to an extent because he is a rare talent but it obviously affected the rest of the team. |

Win as a team. Lose as a team.
Green Bay, apparently, got its wish and ousted the HC. Now the onus is squarely on them to win. Winning, as everyone knows, cures all ills. What if they are pedestrian? Who gets the blame then? |

I mean, I think a lot of people knew that Rodgers had an ego (though maybe not one THIS toxic) and that McCarthy lost his coaching touch years ago. But the extent to which the relationship had deteriorated and just how long the two of them had been at loggerheads is definitely a surprise to me. Also, kind of ironic/amusing that what will likely be the last game between Rodgers and Alex Smith, the latter won.

Ahhh, the very convenient “unnamed source” strikes again.
Sorry, any time an article uses the term “unnamed source” I grab my salt shaker. The absolute worst “ethic” in journalism. There is absolutely zero oversight and the reporter can take whatever liberties they want. Couple that with today’s social media driven society that feeds off instant shock reporting and I am further disinterested. Put names to sources then you not only have my curiosity, but my interest as well. |

What hiring crazy eyes?
![]() As for Rodgers I simply ignore story's with unnamed sources, our media in America simply doesn't deserve the benefit of doubt anymore imo! |

To everyone who keeps talking about "unnamed sources", did you read this specific story?!?!? Again, there were plenty of names cited and sourced on this one.
I think in general the media sucks and that "unnamed sources" is lazy and gossipy but that is NOT the case with this story. Players are on record here. |
