I still like to read them for the entertainment value. Also helps getting to know some of the players outside the Top 10-15.

Detroit's pick at #8 is such a wildcard. They can easily go defensive (Oliver/White/Bush/Gary/Williams/Sweat), or go offensive line as we have a few times in recent years with the guy from Alabama. They could also go high again on a TE (Hockenson). And, depending on how picks 1-7 go, Quinn would like to trade down to get more picks.

I'd be okay if we took a QB, personally.

I can't believe what I'm about to say, but I hope Detroit is able to get Chase Winovich in the 2nd round.

Woof, that's quite a price tag especially since they now need to work up a new contract for him.

EDIT: The new agreement is a 5-year, $105.5M contract, $63.5M guaranteed.

Fair enough. I just feel like it's just a waste of time...it's the same regurgitated names in a different order with some different names being injected/removed here and there. Not to mention, every football guy puts one out.

Man as a Niner fan it has been great to have Robbie Gould the last two seasons and just not worry about the kicking game but he told ESPN he wants out of SF. They franchised him this year so at least we have him for this season but his family stayed in CHI and I am sure the Bears would love to have him back so a trade is not out of the question. He feels the Niners haven't negotiated in good faith and was irked that they pursued Stephen Gostkowski. Says he won't report until opening day. I believe that he probably is irked with how things have gone but I think deep down he probably just wants to be back in CHI with his family. The Bears really screwed up when they let him go. I would hate to see him go but if the Niners can get something good back for him via trade then I could see this being a good thing. I guess it also depends what other FA kickers are available though.

Lol, I just went back to the 2009 Draft to see all the QB's that were taken. Stafford is the only good one

Sanchez, Freeman, and 8 others. Sanchez is the only other "active" player.

Chiefs gave up a lot for a player with off the field concerns.

Hopefully the offense scores more TD's this upcoming season and won't have to rely on him as much.

That would be ideal but it was just a nice luxury to not worry about the kicking game the past couple years, even before Gould, Dawson was pretty reliable. If anything he's franchised this season and they could get a good trade return on him. I just don't know the landscape as far as FA kickers this offseason if it came down to it.

What am I missing here? I just don’t see how he’s worth that kind of draft stock and money at all...

Nothing, it was a garbage trade for KC, plain and simple.

Nothing that happens on a NFL football field in April will matter in September and voluntary has a different meaning than the word mandatory.

They’re going all in while they have Mahomes on his rookie deal.
