I think if they hear good news on Manning they could oversell a team like the Redskins into giving up a ton. If it's bad news I think they cut their losses and park him on the bench and if Manning can't come back they have a potential replacement ready to go.

More like he won with Chris Johnson's legs. And you might be right about Cam. Hard to say so soon.

can't wait to see 49ers vs Ravens....game of the week I think

Can Alex Smith beat Raven's defense? I don't think so....

Raven -3 points to the 49ers this Thursday... If I was in Vegas...then I would pick Raven -3 to win against the spread. Playing at Ravens..and a short week...with Alex Smith...gotta take the Raven.

I do hope I'm wrong because I'll be rooting for 49ers to win...always root for my home team...even the Raiders

I'm hoping Buffalo gives their entire draft to Indy for the #1 pick, it won't happen but I can dream.

I do like it when a guy passes up the draft to return another year in college and gets rewarded. Had he gone pro in 2011 he'd be stuck on a terrible Carolina team. Instead he'll likely land with a successful, well run franchise, likely learning from one of the best QB's ever.

The Indy situation reminds me a little of the Spurs that year they ended up with the #1 pick entirely because David Robinson missed an entire year with injury. They drafted Duncan #1 and won 4 championships with him.

Why dude...you have 12 guys on IR. No one has the kind of depth to make up for that. A healthy Bills squad is a good football team. I wouldn't give up a thing.

Because all-world QB's are the rarest and most valuable commodity in football. There are only a handful of them - Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees. To win a Super Bowl these days you almost have to have one. I've been watching college football since the late 80's and Andrew Luck is the best I've ever seen outside of maybe Peyton Manning at Tennessee. There isn't a "sure thing" mega-star but Andrew Luck is as close as you'll ever get. It's no coincidence the Colts go from a 10+ win team to an 0-10 team without him. That's the value of a great QB.

I wanted the Browns to go after that guy coming out of college (injury and all)

I watched him play a lot for Louisville (as a UC fan) and that guy has amazing talent..... I was surprised he didn't make a splash as a rookie, and I'm still surprised he's not a featured back somewhere.

Ryan Leaf was a "Blue Chipper" as well...what a JOKE. I know the value of a Great QB Chad...are you serious dude? I'm well aware of the fact it's the most difficult and most important position in ALL of sports. EVERY draft pick is a crapshoot.

They just signed Fitzy to a huge contract and have 12 guys on the I.R. Pick any Hall of Fame QB and plunk him behind centre in Buffalo right now and they lose.

Luck is significantly better than Leaf at the collegiate level, especially his intangibles. Fitzy is very streaky and players like Luck only come around once or twice every 25 years. If I were an NFL team, I would give up an insane amount of draft picks to get him. He is that good.

My bad, just saw it on nfl.com. I sure hope he goes to Washington. They need a steady hand at QB. Orton is never really spectacular, but he doesn't lay goose eggs like Grossman.

I know he's better than Leaf was, M-1203. I was only pointing out that highly touted pics are still a crapshoot. I wouldn't mortgage the farm for any player, but that's just me.

Is the Broncos/Chargers game gonna be televised on Sunday? The reason why I'm asking is because I looked on the NFL ST guide and it's not listed.

Cardinals rookie CB Patrick Peterson has been called for 10 penalties for 121 yards already this season.
Peterson's performance in the punt return game has been electric, but his play at corner has been downright bad. The No. 5 overall pick ranks among the worst starting corners in the league according to Pro Football Focus and gets relentlessly attacked on a weekly basis. The Cardinals would be wise to keep him away from Brandon Lloyd on Sunday.

I'm taking the Packers, Cowboys, and the Niners to pull the upset.
