Wow remember those days when Brown apologized and said he was here to play football and be a Raider. Man yesterday seems so long long ago.

Darlington noted that he received an email from AB. The receiver mentioned the Raiders "took away my guarantees" and added there's "no way I play after they took that and made my contract week to week." AB's own declaration of requesting a release, the Raiders decision to fine Brown and take away his guaranteed money, along with Darlington's own report all obviously indicate that it'd be shocking if Brown suits up Monday night against the Broncos.

Josh Gordon actually has a similar level of talent to Brown, what they really need is another talented TE with Gronk retired and their #2 TE suspended.

The last thing the Pats should want is to surround someone as volatile as Gordon with an influence like AB.

Brown would need to be away from the team for five days to be eligible. It's one possible outcome for how the Raiders move forward with Brown, who has no plans of playing for Oakland after they voided his guaranteed money. Placing Brown on the left squad list would shut him down for the season and prevent him from joining another team. There's unlikely to be much league interest in Brown given his off-field baggage. The Raiders best bet may be trying to trade him next offseason.
