2025-2026 NFL Season Thread

Isn't there a rule that each team gets a primetime game? Better to rip that Redskins Band-aid off early in the season. I think they have a TNF game with the Giants later in the season but I don't know if it's flex-able.

There used to be, but I believe that has been changed in recent years.

I remember reading last year (conjecture, of course) that the league had scheduled the Redskins to play the Saints on MNF so that the latter would have an easy team for Brees to break the record against. But I dunno why similar thinking would apply to last night's game. If that "every team gets a primetime game" rule doesn't exist anymore, then yeah, get the Skins outta there.

Having said that, the game was very entertaining lol

MNF games have been pretty garbage since ESPN took them over years ago, which made a bit of sense then since more people watched MNF when it was still over broadcast on ABC. Occasionally MNF gets a good matchup but its usually purely by accident.
SNF is the priority for primetime games. TNF occasionally has a good matchup but not very often.

Yeah once they go to Haskins, they can't go back. Better to wait til Miami in Week 6.

But also, Gruden clearly doesn't care anymore so it wouldn't surprise if he leaves Keenum in all year.

I know the front office, or more so the owner, is garbage, but Gruden is NOT NFL head coach material. Maybe your nephew's high school football team..

Keenum looked in over his head last night, was almost embarrassing to watch him try to pretend to play QB for an NFL team.

And I agree ESPN has really gone downhill with their broadcast of MNF. A big reason that Sunday is better is because of flex possibility and Al & Chris are probably the best in the business besides the Nance & Romo combo. I like Terrico and never understood why they moved on from him but the Monday slot has become a wasted one for the most part imo.

Snyder ain't going anywhere and I hope he keeps Allen in place for as long as possible. As long as those two are in charge, that's one division rival I'll never have to worry about.

There's no word that truly conveys how putrid he is, it's just SO bad. Not to mention God forbid you tune into any of the pre-game and you get yelled at by Suzy "The Crow" Kolber and the rest of those loud mouths. ESPN is just so bad.

Witten was worse than Booger or Tessatore. Now that he's gone, I find the other two on their own tolerable. Not great by any means, but serviceable.

Cardinals cut Michael Crabtree yesterday after three games. Some on social media say NE, PIT and even a reunion in OAK are possibilities. I doubt any of those though, he's more than likely done.

Terrico was the best MNF had in the booth in years. Booger is so bad, he was trending on twitter last night for just how awful he is.

The rule was never every team gets a primetime game the rule was that every team gets a nationally televised game.

Well, somehow I'm 3-0 in my FF league with no help from AB or Damien Williams I'm due for a loss soon though. Anyways, looking forward to Sunday night's game, hopefully it will be a good between Dallas & NO.

I'm 3-0 in my $100 league, the only unbeaten team left. Still catching heck for every single trade I make despite being the second highest scoring team in the league. Feels like sour grapes to me.

Did just make a calculated risk trade of Kelce and Aaron Jones for Barkley and Austin Hooper.

Also traded AJ Green for Frank Gore, was about to cut Green anyway so figured why not trade him instead of sending him to the waiver wire.

Cowboys 4-0 against Packers 4-0 is something the NFL wants for sure.

Isn't Barkley out for several weeks?

Lost both my leagues this week. 2-1 in the free league but 1-2 in the money league. Looks like this will be probably be another middling season, and if so then I might stop after this. Basically just throwing money away lol

LOL Barkley might be out for 8 weeks, hoping for 4 but it's the splash move I am making to have necessary scoring to win once the play-offs start.

Barkley has tentatively been slapped with a 4-8 week return timeline. He's shopping around for some better news but is unlikely to receive it. The Giants will roll with a combination of Wayne Gallman and a free agent signing for Week 4.

Wont matter he wont run the same with that high ankle sprain even after 4-8 weeks he wont be able to cut. His season is over fantasy wise.
