As much as it pains me to say this, I don't see any team beating the Pack.

Not in the regular season. But I don't see them repeating with back-to-back-to-back competitive challengers. they have had a very soft schedule this year (with the exception of NO, ATL, CHI, and DET) for a Super Bowl champion. Even with home field they will have to step up the D against good teams or they will get surprised in the playoffs.

Chicago lost their franchise QB which may end up costing them a play-off spot unless Hanie can carry them the rest of the way, Detroit could also lose Suh long enough to miss the play-offs and give that spot to Atlanta or New York.

And I don't see Aaron Rodgers being able to keep up with the gun slinger Tim Tebow in the Super Bowl... Such a shame Rodgers won't get his second super bowl. But there is a new sheriff in town and his name is TIM TEBOW

49ers got unlucky with some penalties. Ginn's TD and the Pass interference ending up costing the game.

Still as bad as the 49ers O-line was today, they only lost by 10 pts, which was better than the Jets or Steelers against Baltimore

2....and giving up 24 last week to a terrible Redskin team, then beating them in OT because the Skins had already missed a field goal which would have beaten Dallas.

3....and like yesterday...kicking the game winner as time ran out to beat a 3-7 team (at home).

I feel another avi bet coming D-A, should the Niners and Cowboys meet in the playoffs. I've got to get you using that Tebow avi

I think last night's game was the most dominant defensive performance I've ever seen in my life. The second half wasn't even fair; the Ravens defense didn't even give Alex Smith a chance to move the ball down the field.

I would NOT want to line up against the Ravens in the playoffs if they earn home field advantage.

Also, while watching the Packers game yesterday, it occurred to me that the combination of Aaron Rodgers and Jennings/Driver/Nelson/Jones/Cobb/Finley might be the best QB/receiving combination the NFL has seen in decades. The GB receivers (and the whole goddamn team) are all-around terrific. When was the last time an elite QB had that elite of a group of receivers? Joe Montana throwing to Dwight Clark, Roger Craig, Jerry Rice, Tim Brown?

Furthermore, I hope N.Suh receives a two-game suspension -- one for the stomp and one for the idiotic comments he made after the game. It takes a real man to come out and say afterward "You know what, I got caught up in the emotions of the moment. I lost my composure. I shouldn't have done that, and I apologize."

Or maybe I can dream on.

Duel between Rodgers and Tebow.

Tebow would skip a bullet off the ground while Rodgers would get him right in the heart. Sheriff dead. Outlaw Rodgers runs the town.

Steve Young had it right when he was on PTI. He said Fox isn't doing him any favors with that college offense. Young went on to say that they need to force Tebow to run a proper offense and throw 25-30 times a game to see if he can really be an NFL QB.

Cowboys WR Miles Austin (hamstring) and CB Mike Jenkins (hamstring) are aiming for a Week 13 return.
"I'm trying to be back as soon as possible, and that would be as soon as possible," Austin said. "I'm striding now but it's different when you're actually running with someone on you and getting off the ball. It's a different tempo. I'm feeling better and stronger every day." As well as Laurent Robinson is playing, his fantasy value will take a big blow perhaps as soon as next week at Arizona.

Wow Suh is the biggest dumb ass in the NFL, what he did was already bad enough, and now his words post game make him look even dumber .. How you even defend that is beyond me, cant wait to see what Goodell slaps him with ... I hope they make an example out of this douche and give him 3 or 4 games, likely will get 2 and a big fine though... Former favorite player

Its crazy how someone can be so kind and generous off the field, but the complete opposite on the field

Edit: Dont get me wrong, I still think hes one of the best in nfl at what he does.... But hes just a dumbass

They're going to have home field advantage through the playoff locked up with a few games left. I'll bet sit out their key players one or two games at the end of the season and drop a game or two. I wish they would go for 16-0, but I think it's unlikely.

Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com made the point this morning that even if the Packers have home field advantage wrapped up after 15 weeks they should still try their hardest to win the final 2 games because they are against the Bears and Lions and if those teams are in a wildcard race the Packers should want to try and keep them out of the playoffs. Florio's reasoning was that it's harder to beat a divisional opponent in the playoffs because divisional opponents will have a better idea of what works and doesn't after playing twice in the regular season.

Last year's week 17 Bears-Packers game is an example of why you should try and keep a division team out of the playoffs. The Bears had the #2 seed wrapped up going into week 17 and didn't try very hard to beat the Packers, who needed a win to make the playoffs. The Packers won the game and got the #6 seed and then beat the Bears in the NFC Championship game.

I assume the "Whipping boy" of the NFC east is meant to be the Redskins, not the Eagles.

Quote:
With the exception of the Colts (who are obviously tanking the season now) every team in the AFC is at least competitive in their division.

AFC has a race in every division to get to the playoffs.
North:
Ravens 8-3
Steelers 7-3
Bengals 6-4
South:
Texans 7-3
Titans 5-5
East:
Patriots 7-3
Jets 5-5
Bills 5-5
West:
Raiders 6-4
Tebows 5-5
Chargers 4-6
Chiefs 4-6

Every one of those teams is within 2 wins of their division title or of the current wildcat holders. If anything the AFC is more competitive and the NFC just has the bulk of "bad" teams.
More competitive in no way implies better. The NFC is 21-17 against the AFC this year. If I throw out the records of your "whipping boys"(using Redskins instead of Eagles but it hardly matters) the NFC is 19-10 against the AFC. IE, it's definitely not just the whipping boys inflating the records of the NFC.

Didn't read everything, but CBSSportsline.com or whoever my fantasy league is through says Peyton Hillis is no longer "Out" and Shurmer said he's "Day to Day"

I thought he was "Officially" declared out on Monday? I didn't know you could come back from that?
