All these years later and Pete Carroll still doesn't understand how to use Lynch at the goal line with the game on the line.

Interested to see potential matchups. The Saints are playing so well, that I don't even know if playing on the road would be the usual detriment to them. However, if they end up advancing to play Green Bay in Green Bay, then that would be a whole different discussion.
I would not be shocked to see New England knocked off next weekend. |

ETA: Buffalo and Tennessee are definitely playing better than their respective opponents. Seattle has Wilson, so a slight edge over Philly, in the Battle of the Broken. The only lopsided matchup would appear to be the Vikings at New Orleans. The Saints should run all over Minnesota. Unless Cook comes back as an X-factor, and Cousins somehow just has a breakthrough game, I'm not seeing an upset there. Last edited by BeastCreatureTrapper; 12-30-2019 at 04:40 AM. |

A lifelong 49er fan here... that game tonight nearly gave me a heart attack.
When the Hawks got the 1st down inside the 2, I figured it was game over. I started saying to my buddies “eh, we should knock off the Eagles with ease” But that goal line stop is one of the best defensive plays I have ever seen, to go along with Kittle having one of the best offensive plays I have ever seen (that epic run against the Saints a few weeks back) I currently live in the Baltimore area, and I am very fearful of another 49er/ Raven super bowl, Jackson is damn near unstoppable this season, but if it goes that far, I think the niner D can get it done. In a perfect world it will be a 49er / Chiefs super bowl (I am a Chiefs fan since 1994 when Montana became their QB... 49ers are first by a mile, but I root for the Chiefs against everyone else!) |

Seems low, but people seem to be less bullish on the Seahawks lately and I don't get it. They generally know how to navigate January. Not expecting us to do much against them but no worries. I'm glad we won the division, the rest is icing.

49ers should be getting Dee Ford back for the divisional game which will be a much needed boost to the defensive line. Kwon Alexander recently said that he was trying to come back for the playoffs (JJ Watt came back from a similar injury), and if so would be fantastic. I still think the secondary is the weakest part of the defense, but if the 49srs can establish the pass rush they had in the first half of the season, they're a nightmare for any team.
I think I got 3 hrs of sleep last night so naturally I'm dead tired at work this morning. I was wired after their win over the Seahawks and couldn't close my eyes for the life of me. I dont know why I take these 49ers wins/losses so hard, but I imagine I am unbearable (especially if they lose). You'd think after 38 years I'd get a handle on it, but it's the same roller coaster ride for me every season. |
