I think the draft is more stacked next year. Miami has three picks in the first and two in the second. They could trade down, still fill some needs, and set themselves up better for next year.

Everything looks worse in slow motion. It's a fine at most in my opinion. Late, but I don't see a clear intent to injure.

Barnett was flagged for a far less egregious hit. I wouldn’t go so far to say it was dirty, but Clowney certainly lowered his helmet to lead with it, for zero reason.

The Browns probably want to hire Schwartz if they take Philly VP of personnel Andrew Berry...who left Cleveland a season ago.

Mike McCarthy isn't much better. My best friend is a Packers fan, so we watch a lot of Packers games over the years and man...he's going to frustrate Cowboys fans if he is the one calling the plays instead of Kellen Moore.

I don't know how anyone could be excited about Mike McCarthy.

This. For all the talk of how "Jason Garrett plays down to their competition/makes boneheaded playcalls", Mike McCarthy isn't much better in that regard.

And remember: he's had Aaron Rodgers in the peak of his prime a good chunk of his tenure.

Yes it does and it's a hire I truly do not get. You can easily state the worst areas of the Patriots team the last few seasons have been special teams and wide receivers. Both are areas of the team that have produced very little imo.

He either simply blew them away during his interview or they decided since they missed on who they really wanted, they got a place holder until someone better comes along.

He actually had a very solid draft that year. Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker along with some other pieces. Two starting receivers that helped them make two super bowl runs. Tebow was only the 25th pick, hardly a huge gamble.

A permanent stain is trading up to take Trubisky.
