I coudn't believe the headline. Damn, I am not a footballhead 24/7, but I was thinking on the drive home "Man, maybe Cam can make it back and it's not as bad as a total rebuild..."

I can't blame Luke. It takes something beyond the money to get your head knocked in every week, especially when you already have a history of (reported) concussions.

Its shocking at first, but I do like players calling it quits earlier rather than later. It's not worth quality of life issues later on. He's had some scary concussions already.

I love Kuechly‘s game. I’m going to miss watching him play. NFL teams are going to have to start putting clauses in contracts to protect themselves against these early retirements. Obviously, players are free to retire whenever they wish, but it also isn’t good for business from the NFL’s perspective on multiple levels.

Yup, he obviously has mental issues that PIT did well to cover for (and treat?) when he was there. Had he been quiet and kept his head down this whole time he's been out I'm sure another team out there would have taken a chance on him but he just can't help himself and apparently those close to him can't help him either. He's gotta be done in the league at this point, no team wants that crazy no matter how good he is/was.
