After that last Mahomes interception off Tyreek I thought it was over. Then Shanahan pulled a 28-3 again and threw the ball instead of running it.

Shanahan gets the lions share of the blame. Then the defense giving up 21 points in the last 6 minutes is unforgivable.

Jimmy G did enough to win, but was part of the collective choke in the 4th quarter. If the game stood 20-10 he probably is the MVP.

Starting to see reports of issues between Stafford and the Lions. Also worth noting that reports are coming out Tua does not want to come to Detroit. Situation here in the D does not look good.

Happy for Andy and the Chiefs. Sad there's no football until August (preseason). Sundays just aren't the same. I'll be lumbering around, zombie like, with a half eaten chicken wing in one hand and an empty chalice in the other for the next several Sundays.

Time for off-season.

Dak contract negotiations gonna get ugly. He wants Wentz and Goff money, but he'd be overpaid just like them if he got it.

QB’s don’t mind the franchise tag game. He might not be in a huge rush to get it done. Dak has a lot of leverage.

Blowing a 25-point lead late in the SB is all-time bad, but blowing a 10-point lead...it happens. Even with 5-6 min remaining, a 10-point lead could disappear with a 2-min drive TD, a 3-and-out, and another 2-min drive TD or FG. It's well within reasonable possibility. I lost count how many times I've seen it happen. It's like in tennis: losing a 40-15 lead or even a 40-0 lead is quite common. The day before the SB, American Sofia Kenin won the Australian Open women's title when her opponent lost 40-0 and 40-15 leads three times late in the match.

Agreed. I didn't feel any comfort whatsoever with a 10 point lead and that much time left on the clock.

Teams are 29-3 in the Super Bowl when leading by 10+ points through three quarters.

Kyle Shanahan has coached in two of those losses (Super Bowls LI and LIV).
