It was announced Tuesday on NFL Network's Good Morning Football that the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers will kick off the preseason on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. ET in Canton, Ohio, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, adjacent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Wow, came home last night and was bombarded by the news: international travel ban, NBA season postponed and Tom Hanks.
I wouldn’t be surprised to hear the NHL does the same. I could easily see he NFL going fanless for the draft.
The next two months, basically life won’t be the same for many people.

I have to chuckle a bit at how the next few day/weeks can play out for the NFL.
Right now the league seems to be taking a business as usual approach. Now say that holds true and the league season starts next week, on time. The legal tampering window will commence on Monday with free agency in full swing a short time later. By then the votes should be tallied and we will know if there’s a new CBA, or not.
Fast forward, say, a week and we can see what the rest of the country is doing in regards to the pandemic. If schools reopen and folks get back to normal schedules the NFL will not only have braved the pandemic but stolen the entire sports world spotlight(more than they usually do) as everyone clings to each little scrap of social media info posted and news broadcast.
Of course this could all go very south, very fast, as we are all in uncharted waters with this pandemic.

As for me, well I’ve got 2 weeks off and plenty of beverages. So I’m off to my back deck to enjoy nature.
Kind of weird...no deadlines, no phones ringing, no traveling, no sports scores...
Just quiet.

Rumor already is once cba results are know sunday am the league yr & draft will both be postponed.

& i think getting things back to anything close to normal in 1 wk is beyond optimistic.
In fact if theres a word that means more than beyond thats what it is.
