genuinely curious how they would even have a season.

many thoughts below. expand if curious. tl;dr there are too many mitigating factors that will prevent anything from happening.

[Show spoiler]because if you get past all the other nonsense... like maybe you got lucky and you didn’t miss any time at work, so you don’t have to worry about bills and assuming this doesn’t continue to get worse because of some brainiacs who don’t believe in science and will still continue to spread the virus, that will continue to be not be tested.

is there a large enough contingent of fans that are even going to have the disposable money to even think about getting tickets... let alone wanting to be in a super crowded area for something that you could watch at home without risk of getting something.

and it’s not like you can reschedule. shortened season maybe? they wouldn’t be able to reschedule the super bowl. there are too many other factors in logistics to try and push it off to a further date when you have that end and the playoffs.

let alone how much staffing do you need at each stadium? are people just going to blindly sign up for working low paying stadium jobs where you will be absolutely in contact with people who have it. because it’s not like the owners of the teams are going to magically pay them more money or give them better benefits to sweeten the pot.

americans are really lazy. a lot of people flake on what amounts to easy office jobs where you just have to put in a full work week and actually do work at... work.

the only way i see a season even happening is if some proven vaccine comes out that can be easily manufactured becomes available for widespread use that is also inexpensive that the majority of the public can take before then. so that would have to be available in less than four months.

i personally just don’t see them playing games without fans at empty stadiums. and i wouldn’t be interesting in watching games in empty stadiums. you need to crowd to have it feel not like a scrimmage.

i went to a a rare screening for a movie in a small indie theatre that was just $12 to see the movie. it was sold out and half the people just didn’t even show up. that wouldn’t even cover parking at a pro sport event.

also, didn’t la ban public events for the rest of the year? so where are those two teams even going to play?

yeah Skins are taking Chase Young. All the Tua smoke is just to see if anyone will offer them a king's ransom for the pick.

I’m surprised the Jets still are listening to offers for Adams. I thought they mended the relationship with him after last season.

Well the teams if they are playing with no crowds can play on any high school field it does not really matter. 100 yards is 100 yards, the dimensions of a football field have not changed. The Rams and Chargers can play anywhere Vegas, Arizona, Washington, im sure St Louis would bring the Rams back for a season lol

The stadiums will be empty unless there's a vaccine

Personally I cant see the season starting but the NFL isn't about safety its about money. So with that in mind irregardless of the current pandemic they are dead set on starting the season. It all depends on the governors of the states and how that all plays out.

Where Tua ends up is going to be really interesting. If he gets past the Chargers, he could be in for a steep drop. According to The Athletic three teams have an undraftable grade on him.

Tua still a huge fav to go top 10 @ -20,000.

So if you bet at fanduel $200 he goes top 10 you win a whole $1.

=====================

also my "trade dak" was talked about on FS1 - some beat writer liked it - get another qb on a 4 or 5 yr rookie deal.

If Washington drafts another first round QB instead of Chase Young..... that would be the most redskin move ever lol

Lions GM Bob Quinn said the team has already had talks about trading the No. 3 overall pick.
"Had a few of those conversations over the last week or so," Quinn said on discussing a possible trade for Detroit's No. 3 overall pick. "Had a few of those conversations as far back as the combine." Though this obviously doesn't guarantee the Lions move back —far from it, in fact — Quinn added that he would "probably" have any hypothetical deal done by Thursday afternoon to ensure no conversations bleed over into the evening while the team is on the clock. Buckle up.

If you can bet fanduel & draftkings theres a bet thats basically a free $48 or $47.

fanduel has an opt in promo -- bet $250 on draft get $50
so bet $250 off linemen rd1 over 6.5 @ -102 = pays $495

then at draftkings bet $247 off linemen rd1 under 6.5 @ +100 = pays $494

so total bet = $497
if over wins collect $495 lose $2
if under wins collect $494 lose $3

BUT then fanduel gives you the $50 bonus so net = $48 or $47
either way its a winner

FREE $$.

One anonymous GM said the mocks are so wrong this year that its incredible.
Not sure how he knows and he could be further blowing smoke in the name of trading up.

But....He claims we’ll be surprised a ton in the 1st round on who rises and who falls.

This live fantasy NFL draft is going to be quite entertaining.

What's the over/under on technical hiccups? I wonder if people can bet on it.

I'm betting quite a few where the feed will just "skip" a bit. Also wonder how many top prospects will get drafted in their skivvies.

Ive heard Pats, Dolphins, and like 3 others may be in for Detroits spot its very very possible theres a huge bidding war for it and Detroit could get a windfall for the pick which if they draft right would help them out a ton. But since its Detroit im sure they will **** it all up.

I can't wait to see how many of Miami's 14 picks aren't even in the NFL in 2 years. Should be a spectacular train wreck. Adding disclaimer that it will really be 3 years since this season most likely is not happening.

I can't see anyone giving up what the Jets "want" for Adams since he's going to reset the market for safety salaries.
