My #1 seed and 1st-round bye in my fantasy league depends on this game..... 9-2 vs a 9-2 opponent

I am currently behind by 5 points or so.... I have Eli and Jimmy Graham (who just scored!! ) he has the EXPLOSIVE Darren Sproles

I think, with Eli being Eli in the 4th quarter, I have this, assuming it's close going into the end.

Either way, 14-3 New Orleans..... time for the NYG to throw the ball!!!!

Baloney. Should be 1 game suspension tops. What he did was wrong, but a weak stomp that barely touched the guy and caused zero injury doesn't call for some ridiculously draconian suspension. The guys who played in the NFL pre-90's are probably laughing about this stuff. My guess is Goodell does overreact as usual and it's >2 games.

Drew Brees not allowing Rodgers to run away with that MVP award. He's going to destroy Marino's passing yards record.

No argument there. For Marino to do it in the 80's was insane.

Brees is on pace to pass for over 5300 yards.

Even with a loss to the Packers it is premature to rule the Giants out...all they have to do is beat the Cowboys twice and they will probably win the division.

And given how the Cowboys refuse to blow anyone out outside of Buffalo, and the fact that Eli loves those last minute come-back drives, I can totally see the Giants beating the Cowboys twice.

Nothing about the Cowboys to me says “oh man I don't want to play them (granted that too can be a benefit)”, Ware can only do so much.

There are sources that Jack Del Rio is fired.

Sources: Jags fire Jack Del Rio

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/72...io-sources-say

Quote:
Jack Del Rio has been fired as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to team sources.

The Jaguars, who are 3-8 heading into a Monday night game with the San Diego Chargers, plan to announce the move at noon Tuesday.

Del Rio was the second head coach in the team's short history, replacing Tom Coughlin in 2003. He finishes his Jacksonville career with a 68-70 record, last leading the Jaguars to a winning record in 2007 when the team was 11-5. His teams were 1-2 in postseason play.

Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker is the leading candidate to take over the team on an interim basis.

Now if Mel Tucker who is our defensive coordinator takes over. I see no change. When we look for a head coach, we NEED an offensive minded coach because we have been plagued on offense for the longest time.

I wonder who Weaver would hire as HC during the off season. I saw that Jeff Fisher was a candidate since he plans to return for 2012. I certainly think that we should pass on him. If you're a Jaguar fan, we "hate" him for all the times he was with the Tennessee Titans who is probably our biggest rivals other than the Colts.

I heard on the radio that in addition to the Jaguars losing Tim Tebow was a big reason for Jack Del Rio's firing. In 2010 Jags owner Wayne Weaver wanted to draft Tebow because he thought Tebow would be great for marketing and ticket sales. Del Rio and GM Gene Smith (who is in the last year of his contract) talked Weaver out of drafting Tebow, and now that Tebow is winning in Denver Weaver is reportedly very angry that he was talked out of drafting Tebow.

Yup, no question about that as well. I know drafting and playing the best players available is priority, but when ticket sales are just as important. We could of benefit him from that. We don't sign big name players, so that's why we miss crucial big plays that we lacked for quite some time.

Should have taken Tebow. You would be in the playoffs now.

Suh Suspended

Quote:
Five days after stomping on Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith, Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has learned his fate.

Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Suh has been suspended two games.

Per Glazer, Suh has not been required to participate in anger management as part of his punishment.

No, with Tebow we'd have 3 or 4 wins right now. Would well have sold more tickets? Yes. Won more games? No.
