Based on their track record with the number one pick I’d say the exact opposite is true. They’ve only hit on one out of three (Carson Palmer was good, Dan Wilkinson sucked, and Ki-Jana Carter was a bust) and Burrow only had one good season in college. If I could get two top five picks (or if Miami doesn’t trade to get #3 I’d take all three of Miami’s firsts) and still take another QB who’s close in talent while filling another major hole I’d do that.

Isn’t that apples and oranges though? It has been a long time since they have been in this position, and obviously different talent evaluators in house making the calls.

How many people still ride the Lions for sucking at making picks? That was multiple eras ago too. All we can base an opinion on is what we’ve seen, and history suggests the Bengals will F this up badly.

IIRC it's been reported that Cincy's already told Burrow they're taking him #1 anyway.

I get that nothing's 100% reliable in the home stretch, but Burrow #1 to Cincy is about as close to a lock as there's been in the last few years.

I think the Bengals refused the Dolphins initial offer. I think they are trying to sweeten the deal now. Who knows? Anything can happen. I needed some fresh entertainment.

I know one thing, I'm just welcoming the distraction to try and get my mind off the current situation right now.

And wow if Miami pulls a Ditka tonight

, certainly the most drama and hype I have felt for anything on tv for a good month and a half now.

Also, Detroit better not trade down unless it's for another Top 5 pick of this year's draft.
