Looking forward to seeing Cam play! Unfortunately this is the first time in a long time I'm not planning on getting any tickets - not that I'm really expecting fans to be able to attend anyway.

If this were the NCAA (or any other league for that matter), they'd be given the death penalty by now.

Fining and donning a 3rd round pick for the 7th+ time caught cheating (and that's not even counting muting opponent's headsets and stealing their playbooks) pretty much amounts to a slap on the wrist.

Theyve been running big races like the belmont stakes last wk but without fans.
WOW does it really take away from the feeling that its a big event.

The Pats could’ve played with one player less on both sides of the ball and still destroyed Cincy.
I think they are 5-1 against Cincy going back to 2003, and basically crushed them in 4/5 wins.

What they did was essentially jaywalking, the crap part of this is the guy the NFL banned and made the fall guy really didn't do a thing wrong. He didn't work for Bill, he was filming something i believe for Kraft productions. What ever i get the reason behind the punishment but why ruin a innocent guys life in the process, sorry that will never make sense to me.

I’m sure Kraft took care of him, as he was just an innocent bystander it seems.

Richard Sherman is being Richard Sherman on Twitter. He's upset at the Cam Newton deal, rhetorically asking how many league MVPs have had to sign for the minimum.

I can name Shaun Alexander and Adrian Peterson.

I do like Sherman, well maybe now because he is a Niner more so. Historically he has some smart arguments but he also has the tendency to get too political when the situation doesn't necessarily warrant it. The only one who has any right to be upset about the Cam deal is Cam and from everything I have seen across social media, he seems pretty happy with it. It's a one year, incentive laden, prove it deal - for both him and the team. And by the way he had been pretty quiet since being let go from CAR, it kinda seems like him and the Pats knew that it was a matter of timing for this deal to come to fruition.
Also worth noting, he was the MVP five years ago now, the last two seasons were pretty injury riddled and he wasn't in MVP form. Sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one

Oh yeah and I can't see what Sherman says on Twitter. The day they lost to the Pats in the Super Bowl he went on a blocking spree and I was in that spree. I didn't even post anything particularly sh*tty, just some of those hilarious *ss memes that were going around that day. For a guy who sh-t talks and trolls so much he sure couldn't take it that day.

The guy just always seems to be angry about something imo... Though i bet if any other team had signed Cam and even for less money we would of not heard a peep from Sherman imo, he clearly hates the Patriots and don't necessarily blame him after his team blew a Superbowl win to them.

But the guy should mind his own business, or perhaps be mad at the 31 other teams who didn't even think to offer him a contract! Right now he needs to prove he still has it, if he does the money will without question follow. Yes it is a risk like much of everything in life it seems, we all know the saying about risk and reward.

Each passing day looks more and more like no Big 4 pro sports. They haven’t even officially started in any major capacity yet and every sport is reporting cases and players are opting out of this season over safety concerns.

The Athletic's Daniel Kaplan reports the league is considering a plan that would allow fans to attend games this fall after signing a waiver promising not to sue the league if they contract COVID-19.
It's a "personal responsibility" plan. It's fair in theory, but it ignores those fans' responsibility not to spread the virus in their communities. This is going to be close to an impossible tightrope for the league to walk. Fans attending games still seems unlikely, and if they do, it will be in a form unrecognizable to what we are used to. If it does come to pass, Kaplan reports the league is encouraging cashless payment and prepackaged food. This will be a saga that drags on for weeks.

Pre-season 2 games works - 1 for dress rehearsal for the main players and 1 to get film on bubble players. 4 games is just a cash grab.
