Washington's logo has been an Indian chief since 1971. It was designed by Native American Walter “Blackie” Wetzel to depict a member of the Blackfeet tribe.

Just in case anyone wants to listen to a actual Native American not only discuss the team logo and name, but also it's history and how his father helped create it.

Some pretty disturbing claims in there. If true, having an ethnic slur as their name is not the biggest problem in that building.

Owners would love this. With all the rumors of Amazon wanting to make an aggressive bid for streaming rights, it would be a lot easier negotiating with a fellow team owner.

There's a wild story from former Washington RB Kapri Bibbs that he got benched one game because he happened to be sleeping with one of the receptionists at the team facility, who happened to also be sleeping with Jay Gruden. When the latter found out about Bibbs, he benched him out of spite/jealousy for one game in favor of Byron Marshall. That same game, Marshall apparently missed a key block that led to a sack on Alex Smith.

That was the play when Smith got injured.

Well I will say Kraft survived sex store scandal and Big Ben survived rape 17 year old girls scandal so we'll have to wait and see if Goodell actually does anything this time.

The Washington Post reports 15 former female employees have alleged sexual harassment during their time working for the Washington football team.
Of the 15, only former marketing coordinator Emily Applegate was able to speak on the record. Most of the rest are apparently bound by non-disclosure agreements, with the team refusing to grant their release. The allegations date from as far back as 2006 to 2019. The Post summarizes the allegations as falling into two categories: "Unwelcome overtures or comments of a sexual nature, and exhortations to wear revealing clothing and flirt with clients to close sales deals." Three of the men accused in the article — ex-radio announcer Larry Michael, former director of pro personnel Alex Santos and former assistant director of pro personnel Richard Mann II — have already been fired. The team has hired a law firm to "conduct a thorough independent review of this entire matter and help the team set new employee standards for the future.” Sure. The allegations only further highlight what has been obvious to almost any football observer over the past 20 years: Daniel Snyder is not fit to own a team in the National Football League.
