Not even going to bother worrying about it right now, if he is smart he sees the good it has done for Bell and others before going down this road. He won't find many teams looking to spend a ton on a rb, no matter how good he is.

These books are really great - last wk fanduel was down for maintenance - it spilled late into the playoff games - so they sent everyone an inconvenience bonus $$ into their accounts.

Alvin Kamara tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that he has not requested a trade and is not holding out.
Meanwhile, The Athletic's Jeff Duncan has confirmed the Saints are "open" to dealing Kamara if they can't come to a long-term agreement. Kamara has been away from the team for several days but evidently doesn't view it as a holdout. Yahoo's Charles Robinson has reported Kamara believes he deserves more in the range of the $16 million annually Christian McCaffrey is receiving, while the Saints want to start off more in the $12 million area. The only thing that is clear is that this situation is getting messy quickly.

I've missed them zero percent, they bring almost no entertainment value to me and carry a massive injury risk to core players.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Alvin Kamara is expected to practice Wednesday.
Kamara and the Saints are in the middle of heated contract negotiations that have reached the point that the Saints floated out that they'd trade him. It doesn't seem likely, especially with Pelissero reporting that the two sides "weren't that far apart on an extension" before Kamara left facilities this week. Kamara is apparently dealing with a back injury that's kept him away from Saints camp, so we'll have to learn more about that as details emerge. For now, it seems like Kamara will remain in New Orleans and likely end up being paid like the top-five running back that he is.

Other than the first half of game 3, you see almost none of the actual starters and even that is pretty much a glorified scrimmage. Granted this hurts the bubble players more than anyone else but nothing can be done about that.

I imagine we'll see at least 2 in the future, 1 for the bubble players to showcase their abilities against other teams and 1 as a tune-up for the starters and young players.

Things certainly were contentious the last few days after Kamara turned down the Saints' $12 million per-year offer. Rapoport reports that "cooler heads have prevailed" and that they'll continue working out the details of a long-term contract. Reports that the Saints were shopping Kamara probably were tied to using leverage for negotiations, especially with the Saints in a very small window to win a Super Bowl with the 41-year-old Drew Brees. As of now, Kamara is expected to report to practice tomorrow while his agent keeps chipping away. It's not a guarantee that a deal is done prior to the season, but there's not enough of a threat to drop Kamara outside of the top six or so picks in fantasy drafts, assuming Kamara's back is fine. He reportedly needed an epidural shot last Thursday. Latavius Murray remains one of fantasy's best pure insurance backs for all reasons listed above.

Yes the season is a big asterick - what does that have to do with betting/watching.

I miss the preseason - dont watch 1 minute but there was this guy on vsin hes just a preseason betting expert - he did 5 yrs of it his win % was like almost 60 which is crazy good.

Miss that -- bummer.

Kamara and the Saints are "not far apart" in contract negotiations. He'll let his agent handle the details of his long-term deal while returning to practice himself. For now, it seems likely that Kamara plays Week 1, probably after securing top-three running back money. Coach Sean Payton said, "We're focused on him being a part of our plan for Week 1." Latavius Murray would be set for a featured role if negotiations go south again. Kamara reportedly didn't practice for four-plus days after receiving an epidural shot to his back last week.
