Ravens offense is so reliant on that run game. If they don’t get that, they really don’t have any punch.

chiefs look unreal tonight. can’t believe all those other teams passed on mahomes. jaguars and jets don’t even have the players they drafted before him on their rosters anymore. or the teams that could have drafted him but then took a web with a high pick next year. it’s madness.

Not much of a game.

Coaches having to wear masks is stupid.

Wow, Mahomes already over 10k passing yards for his career. That’s crazy good.
Needs to get his jacket measurement to Canton ASAP.

Gaiters aren't masks, they're actually worse because all they really seem to do is increase the surface area of your face.

Minnesota is suspending all in-person activities.

Weather isn’t even cold yet. This could get ugly quick.

I think weather is less of a factor than it being an indoor stadium. But there's nothing wrong with a little extra caution. Not like their in-person activities have yielded much of a result anyway.

Colder weather ushers in the viral season. Chance of infection goes up. The NFL has no bubble so contact chance go up. Certain teams are allowing a number of fans in the stands, chances go up.
This whole pandemic is a numbers game. The more you come in close contact with others the higher your chance of infection. Simple.

Oh yeah will just put this out there: total global deaths from Covid surpassed 1mil.

This is why daily testing is so important. Being able to quickly identify and isolate positive cases.

Daily testing won’t do much unless you are isolated while waiting for the test results.
Contact tracing will help a bit but won’t stop a potential spread. More contact = higher chance.

NFL is playing with fire. If anything they have placed a dollar amount on lives. So there is that.

Any of us who have to leave our homes are at risk. This has been and will be our normal until there is a vaccine readily available, and even after that we don’t know how much things will go back to the way they were. Life has to go on. The NFL has done a good job putting protocols into place. There are going to be positive cases that occur as the season goes on. Hopefully they can continue be identified and isolated quickly.

The NFL is not essential. These aren’t front line workers. Greed is the only motivating factor here. The world won’t end with a missed season. Compared to the NBA/NHL the NFL looks like bumbling fools.
How about use those vast resources for testing centers or food drives or anything other than a contact sport that draws fans.
Nobody is saying bury your head in the sand, just don’t throw gas on the fire.

But NFL gonna do NFL.

Why shouldn’t the NFL play? I’m not sure what it is like in your area, but the time where only essential businesses are open is long gone. Kids are going to school, fall high school sports are playing, college football is playing, other professional sports are playing, etc. COVID isn’t going away, and we are learning how to coexist with it in all aspects of life. Sports are a part of that.

It's wild, I was on Day 9 of the 10-day cycle (which is the time frame the CDC in GA is telling folks) and still tested positive for COVID.
