The LAR mortgaged their future to trade for picks just to get IN the SB. CIN simply drafted players. Go CIN!!!

Jimmy G sucks

9ers were supreme overachievers to begin with.

clearly ran out of gas. and they should.

Its a shame Packers could not close them out at Lambau field.

Despite playing in their home stadium, the Rams will be the designated visiting team in Super Bowl LVI. The Bengals will be the home team and have choice of jersey color. The AFC team is home in even-numbered years. The Bucs were the "home" team at home last year.

I wonder if this means the Rams won’t be using their own lockers on the east side of the field?

Will be strange to see them on the west side. Kroenke’s suite is on the 2nd level on the east side.

They played twice in the 80's. Don't really recall the first meeting, but was a teenager the second time they played. I recall the half time show was in 3D. I'm also glad I no longer have to listen to Joe Buck & Troy Aikman call a football game until next September.

Thank you to the football gods for not sticking us with this 49er's team, sorry to 49'er fans here but your team is the damn wall street journal of NFL teams imo!

Right, so that was like over 30 years ago...did it make that much of a negative impression on you back then?

Im shocked so many people are out of the pop culture loop.
I dont watch halftime shows but evidently you could not hear well the cbs crew because "fancy like" was in the background.
So many people commenting they dont know that song.
Really ??
#1 country song & #3 pop song & was in a heavy rotation applebees commercial.

I love this type of Super Bowl. 2 teams where I have no vested love or hate in either. I'd like Stafford to get a ring or the Bengals to finally win a Super Bowl.

Welp it was an unlikely run, especially based on where they were at midseason. I was expecting a Jimmy INT at some point in the game, just not to be, THE play of the game. I understand he had to try to make something happen but it was just an encapsulation of his time with the team. As frustrating as he could be, I could never hate him as a person, he is just such a good guy, teammate. Hope we can get a decent return for him in the offseason. Its going to be weird to start over with Trey when the rest of the team is built to compete now.
That said, the loss wasn't on him. Momentum died when Ward dropped the INT, personal foul on the play after that and then on the offensive possession after that they went three and out on some really dreadful play calls.
Credit to the Rams, they stifled the Niners rushing attack and made Jimmy pass. I really thought it would be tough for the Niners to win six in a row vs. LAR, just bound to end at some time.
Now with that said, Go Bengals!

I have 2 Steelers family members who are rooting against the Bengals. I mean I get the divisional rival stuff, but when a team has never won and your team has won 4 wins?

One could even say Reid calling the TO before throwing the red flag on the 3rd and short placement of the ball (he won the challenge) could have been the biggest key to the loss.... if those responsible for advising Reid on challenges would have been quicker.

That third time out would have allowed the Chiefs to try the swing pass to Tyreek and still call a TO to pooch kick the FG before half.

The one assumption is would the Chiefs have been able to stop Cincy from scoring a TD (they settled for a FG in their final possession of reg).

Not that I've thought about all this after waking up in the middle of the night.
