Having been to a ton of NFL games and tailgate parties, I'd say 95%+ are alcohol (and possibly other drug) related. I've been to tailgate parties before early noon-1pm games in Jacksonville and seen grown men getting into drunken fights at like 10 am.

Interested in Dre and Kendrick but Snoop has always sucked live imo and think he will bring this performance down a notch.

As for violence at NFL games it has always been a part of the NFL but sorry to state the facts that it is exponentially greater at a west coast city game like LA or San Fran as gang members are frequent fans at those events and cause many of these issues.

Former Eagles’ HC Doug Pederson is being hired as the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, source tells ESPN.

Jags org is a mess, of course, but you really have to be desperate if you're going to work for Baalke. The fact that he still has a job is just crazy

BOMBSHELL in the Brian Flores case

Quote:
The NFL has a fire burning. The NFL’s media conglomerate is fanning the flames.

Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports that “he spoke with a witness who said he heard Dolphins owner Stephen Ross offer former head coach Brian Flores $100,000 for every loss during the 2019 season.”

The league initially declared that Flores’s claims are “without merit”; the NFL’s publication of a report corroborating Flores’s tanking-related allegation directly undermines that contention.

It’s courageous for Wolfe to make this report. It’s courageous, or maybe not very bright (depending on the perspective), for his editors to give it the green light. Wolfe works for the NFL. Will the NFL insist that Wolfe reveal the name of the witness? Will Wolfe do so? What happens if he doesn’t?

Meanwhile, and as explained earlier today, Ross faces potential prosecution for violation of the Sports Bribery Act. It’s one thing for such a case to come down to Ross and Flores giving conflicting versions of the same conversation. If there’s corroboration of Flores’s version, a prosecutor becomes much more likely to pursue the case.

This is good timing then....

Caesars & Draftkings will be first sportsbooks ever to have ads in the Super Bowl.

https://adage.com/article/special-re...ove-ad/2397321

Also per Ben Fawkes:
"In its first month, only 23 days with mobile sports betting, New York sets the all-time U.S. state handle mark with $1.6 BILLION wagered in January.
Previous record was New Jersey with $1.3 BILLION in Oct., 2021.
Astonishing numbers."

NY/NJ luvs our betting.

Baalke’s name around the league is so bad, Shad Khan (Jags owner) is asking candidates openly if they’re willing to work with him during job interviews while he is in the room…..

[Show spoiler]

I’d be surprised if Peterson lasts more than year.

OMFG the NFL is so full of themselves

What Broadcast rights issues you own the damn product

Quote:
The proposed watch party for Super Bowl LVI at Paul Brown Stadium will not happen.

At the request of Hamilton County, stadium officials contacted the NFL about the possibility of hosting a watch party for the big game.

The NFL denied the request to broadcast the Super Bowl at Paul Brown Stadium, according to the managing director for Paul Brown Stadium, Eric Brown.

In a letter to Hamilton County officials, Brown said the NFL's decision is consistent with the organization's rules and policies.

He wrote the NFL organizes and broadcasts hundreds of games for fans to attend and view each year, and the legal and logistical barriers to holding a watch party for Super Bowl LVI are too significant.

Brown said while hosting a watch party at the stadium is not possible, the Bengals are excited that there are multiple alternatives in Cincinnati for fans to cheer their team to victory on Super Bowl Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

The NFL realized that a stadium watching the same screen only counts as 1 viewer I guess

Yea basically thats true.
Its really the networks that pay $$ for the rights & they dont want to have the huge local numbers suppressed.
Thats why you get that disclaimer "without the written consent...." on every game.
Of course it would be higher than 1 with the out of home viewing included now but itd still be way lower.

So is the Bengals oline gonna hold up against the likes of Aaron Donald and Von Miller? Bengals got a chance because they play that physical AFC North football like the 49ers.

If he pulls this off Joe Burrow might just be the next Tom Brady.

Anyone who takes 9 sacks and still wins a playoff game is a straight-up warrior. We will get to Burrow but we're not going to get him every play. The Bengals have offensive weapons all over the place, which worries me way more than game flow issues like Mixon running us over and chewing up the clock.

We have an advantage on the line, I'm not so sure it's a huge advantage because the Chiefs are well above average at defense and now they're sitting at home watching the game on TV just like me.
