Living local, forecast for KC is definitely snowy, wet mix. Originally thought to start in the 4Q, but now the forecast has moved the wintery mix up to near kick off.

Mattress Mac bet $2,000,000 on DAL so he would win $3,500,000.

Reading about how it's somehow been "rigged" for the Bills is interesting.

After so many years of watching NFL, I'm coming to the conclusion the Refs have more control than the players. I see so much holding and it only gets called when they want to call it.

I love the Bengals but I saw the block in the back on the fumble return that everyone else saw last week.... Everyone including the commentators but not the refs. I am not "all in" with the idea that the game is rigged but if the refs are in control to the extent that I see I will lose interest fast.

Everyone & their cuz is betting this 2 team 6 pt teaser for saturday:
KC down to -2.5 with PHI down to -1.5.
There was a sportsbook manager on vsin & he said its the most bet teaser he can ever remember.

Edit: I should have stated I don't agree the games are rigged, but do agree that the refs insert themselves too much relative to the game.

***********************

I do think there are ref groups that shouldn't be assigned to playoff games. Carl Cheffers is the best example. You can compare their stats when certain teams are involved and they are off the charts relative to the mean/avg.

In the case of the Bills vs Cincy game, Cheffer's crew "call history" favors the Bills.

I don't know. I heard someone say it and now I'm curious. It makes for one of those mini dramas the NFL likes - player is injured then team rallies to win championship. I got so tired of how NFL milked the Saints performance after Katrina. They saved the city - type stuff.

For my part - I don't believe it's rigged. I do think the refs have way to much control. Now that someone suggested it's being given to the Bills this year I will watch the rest of the season looking for confirmation one way or the other.

I've been a fan of NFL for many years but I admit I would like to find a reason to forget all about it. I don't like the injuries or the inappropriate salaries of the players or the universities giving preferential treatment ... It's got a lot of baggage. It's still often great so here I am.

Edit - I should also add that I'm not a Bills fan exactly but I have been excited for their games because they have been playing well. I was really hyped for the last Bengals game and I'm in for all the remaining playoff games (unless Dallas advances) I'm like a good game fan more than a fan of any particular team. I often will become a player fan like for Wilfork or Peterson and the team is kind of second to wanting to see a particular spectacular athlete's performance.

I always take the mindset that every game is going to be impacted by the officials. They’re human and are going to make mistakes. Sometimes it will tip in your favor. Sometimes it will tip against you. Sometimes it will even out. I don’t like blaming officiating for a loss, and I think it’s a poor mentality to adhere to. The losing team should have made enough plays to take it out of the hands of the officials. Having said that, I wish the NFL would implement some changes to account for human error in officiating. You can never take it out of the equation completely, but I think there are things that can be done to mitigate it.

Refs control all sports you ever see that box chart that trax balls/strikes call accuracy they miss a bunch of them every game & that totally affects the game.

& if the nfl was really rigged DAL wouldnt be going on 27 yrs without a super bowl win.

I don't dislike KC or Mahomes but it would be great to see a JAX upset, don't think its in the cards though.
I like Joe and the Bengals, would love to see them advance and get another shot in the Super Bowl, think it'll be a close one though. Hopefully his makeshift OL can give him enough time in the pocket.
Whatever the case, hope it doesn't have to come down to neutral site game for the AFC.

Obviously rooting for the Niners, I feel weirdly uneasy about this one though. Gotta keep Micah away from Brock and limit deep passes on the defensive side. Metcalf was torching Ward last week before the Niners pulled away, so hopefully Bosa can get some pressure on Dak.
I haven't seen a lot of NYG or PHI games this year but if anyone can upset a #1 seed in the playoffs it could be a division rival. Daboll seems to have taken Jones a step forward this year. Rooting for NYG so Niners could potentially host the Conference Championship.

I like Pederson and Lawrence. Jealous of the hair tho. Wait until he has kids. It’ll turn gray and fall out. But I digress. What were we talking about? Oh yeah. I like Pederson and Lawrence.

Giants are peaking at the right time and i think they send Philly home with their tails tucked between their legs this weekend. I'm thinking a Giants / 49er's championship game rematch from 1990 when Leonard Marshall effectively ended Joe Montana's career with a massive blind side hit. Hell maybe we even get a Giants/ Bills rematch the game after that.

that hurt but the 20-17 OT loss in the 2012 NFCC was a tough one too
