Thats touching.... but we can discuss the atrocity that is this possible "neutral field game? Yeah, Im bringing it up because I am an upstate, NY resident that is NOT a Bills fan but am surrounded by them, LOL. The mental gymnastics they are deploying to validate this neutral field shit is beyond insane. Lets review the facts:

- Chiefs have a better winning pct%. NFL rules state that winning pct% is the FIRST tiebreaker.

- Bills fans argue that the Bills never got a chance at homefield. yeah, well, the game was stopped which is not the Chiefs fault. Oh and the Bengals also did NOT get a chance to win that game and homefield. But I dont hear Bills fans bring that up. Oh....????

- So, going by Bills fans logic, this game today SHOULD also be at a neutral site. Right? Whats fair is fair since the Bengals didnt get a chance to leapfrog Buffalo with a win in their game. But wait, I have been told that the game is in Buffalo because the Bills have a better record than the Bengals. Oh, I see.

But.... But.... The Chiefs have a better record than the Bills. Oh. That. Hmmm. Doesnt jive. Doesnt work. Huge fail on the NFLs part. I just wanna see a good game but now I hope the Bengals do win or the Bills get beat in the SB. Sorry.

We never asked the NFL to make it a neutral site conference game should we make it. All that was said by both the Bills and Bengals is that neither wanted to continue the game after witnessing someone nearly die on the field.

True - but the whole thing just doesnt feel right. Its like the NFL is doing a massive face-save here. They wanted the teams to play that night and took heat for it. So now.... gotta milk the crisis and clear a path or at least help clear a path for a Bills SB appearance and potantial win. What a great story.

I just dont like it. This is Brady-Tuck-Rule level nonsense, IMO.

I certainly don’t see how we benefit from the NFL’s decision. We were in position of the #1 seed and lost any shot at it. It’s pretty widely speculated that the NFL saw this as an opportunity to get a potential dry run at neutral site conference championships.

It was as close to free $$ as you can get.

Homefield:
I agree they shouldve gone by win% since that was the rule.
The reason they said that cin/buf isnt neutral is because they both played the same number of games while buf & kc did not.
So if cin wouldnt have lost more games as buf entering that monday game then neutral field mightve come into play today.

Tuckrule:
Thats the rule - its still the rule today - it was the correct call then & still would be the correct call if it happened today.
You might not like the rule but thats a totally diff story.
I just dont get why this keeps coming up ??

The Bengals lost a shot at it too though. Does that not matter? You benefit because the Chiefs have a better record which is a bigger tie breaker than head to head. 14-3 >>> 13-3. The math doesnt lie. Cheifs are #1 seed = homefield throughout. Been like that for about 100 years or so.

And, the NFL cant just "screw around" with dry runs during the season! You make rule changes in the off season, not on the fly. The idea is horrible anyways. Whats the point of seeding and homefield if you only get it for one playoff game? What about the millions in lost revenue that neutral sites would impose on teams that should have games played in their stadiums? Would you like it if the Bills earned the #1 seed and lost their right to host a championship playoff game?

Guess the NFL and its trillions of dollars cant hire anyone with a brain or lick of common sense.

Right from the NFL wikipedia: The tuck rule was abolished on March 20, 2013, by a 29–1 vote of current teams.[13] The Pittsburgh Steelers voted against abolition, while two teams, the Patriots and Redskins, abstained from the vote.[14] Patriots owner Robert Kraft noted that Al Davis was probably looking down from the afterlife and happy that the rule had been abolished.

So, your information is outdated. Tuck rule went away and is still the worst call in NFL history.

I’m not sure why you are directing your anger at me. Neither the Bills, Bengals, or Chiefs franchises were likely on board with NFL using the AFC to test out an idea they have for future seasons. The Bengals are in a similar boat as us regarding the changes to the format and losing any shot at the #1 seed. I don’t think you will find very many Bills or Bengals fans satisfied with the outcome either. Chiefs were just collateral damage.
