Totally sucks about Pollard's injury especially given that type of tackle. I drafted him for the wifey's fantasy league at work and I enjoyed keeping a sharper eye on him this season, he's a fun RB to watch.

So far on the Sports talk I listen to...all of their expert guesses have reluctantly picked the Bengals considering we have a hobbled Mahomes.

The Bengals have had good results rushing 3 and leaving 1 back to shadow Mahomes (as he leaves the pocket). Assuming he plays and is limited to a "pocket passer," they won't need anyone to shadow Patrick. The O-line will be even more of a key in whether we will have success. Not to sound like Capt. Obvious, but it really will come down to the big boys on both sides as to if we can stay in the game.

I trust our coaching and hope they can create a scheme to keep us in the game. Mahomes covers a lot of warts. That being said, I wonder if sometimes the others don't give a 100% knowing Patrick will bail the team out. Not saying they don't try, but it will may come down to consistently giving the extra push to make the difference.

So far I've heard 80-85% of the money has been placed on the Bengals to win. I bet that same percentage of media "experts" will state the same. I want the Chiefs to use that as a chip on their shoulder. I really want them to be competitive pricks this game (not saying play dirty, but take it to them).

Also, this morning on Two Pro's and a Cup of Joe radio broadcast, they were talking about how the NFL actually is tinkering with the idea of having future NFC and AFC championship games be played at neutral sites. The NFL was excited about the possible Bills/Chiefs game neutral site to see how it would go.

Makes no sense, getting the no 1 seed is meaningless then. Home field advantage throughout the playoffs is the major incentive. If they’re going to do that, might as well add another wildcard spot (8 playoff teams total for each conference) and make every team play wildcard weekend.

Its not meaningless still only seed with a bye + you play the weakest team in the divisional game.
Im not for it either just clarifying.
I dont think theyll do it anytime soon too much blowback.

DAL/SF 45.654 million viewers 2nd most watched divisional game ever.
Most watched is of course DAL/GB 48.522m 2017.

I certainly get that. I went back and watched the last two games (reg season this year and last years AFC champ). In both games, I would see a couple of plays that changed the outcome....not going to play the "what if"...

Too many of our victories this year could easily have been different if it wasn't for one or two plays.

That being said, I'm trying not to search the net or twitter with Mahomes ankle as my search term.

I really want a competitive game and am preparing myself to "try" to just appreciate being there (again).
