In real time as a Chiefs fan, I was fairly surprised the hold was called. Didn't think it was that bad. Refs tend to swallow the whistle in those spots.

This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Chiefs after trading Tyreek and there were a lot of rookies in the rotation.

I find it especially odd so many are sure the NFL is rigging games for the Chiefs. Let's get real here. KC is NOT Dallas or a NYC team in terms of driving viewers. Even if they have the best player in the game, KC has been in a few Super Bowls with Mahomes and they clearly do not bring about some magical spike in viewers/interest in Super Bowls. KC is a small to mid-sized media market at best and don't have any big national following.

So why on Earth do people think Roger Goodell and the refs would risk destroying the reputation of the entire league to push a small'ish market team that doesn't draw increased ratings to Super Bowl victories?

I haven't missed a game since I really started watching football in 1995 myself. So I saw them go from respectable but somewhat cursed (Marty/Vermeil) to trending to all time ineptitude before the Andy Reid hire. My hope/belief during those down years is that the ownership cared too much to stay that bad. Which might sound ridiculous but there do seem to be some owners that don't care as much.

I think about last year's AFC Championship and how i was left with the feeling the play calling in the second half was lacking....well not this year. Time management and calls were so spot on the second half of the SB. I think about Toney and Skyy's TD's were HS wide open. Hasselbeck on ESPN did a great job of dissecting those plays. Great calls and the effort the receivers put in to sell it was fantastic.

Yeah you don't just get guys wide open like that in the NFL typically.

I was blown away by the OL play. Andrew Wylie has been maligned by the fans but he completely kicked ass the last two games.

Lots of talk about a KC dynasty...3 super bowls in 5 years with Mahomes as full time starter...5 championship game appearances. This years team had a high percentage of rookies starting...the O-line is just going to get better as are the rookies....AND I read somewhere that they have 11 picks in this years draft....Hell yes a DYNASTY is happening!
Get a #1 receiver and a monster pass rusher to go with Chris Jones and they will be unstoppable. I'm not a KC fan but I see greatness now and ahead.

And as a greedy man, we could have gone to 4 SB out of 5.....Mahomes first year as a full time starter we intercepted Brady, which would closed out the game and sent us to the Super Bowl.....Dee Ford's hand was over the line....flag and it negated the interception. It was the right call, so thanks Dee Ford

Yes, but lots of young and very good QB's and teams in the AFC, it's loaded and will be very competative for all AFC teams. If I was KC I would be worried about the Bengals.

I wonder who will be the preseason NFC favorite next fall, maybe 49ers? Eagles are losing a lot after this year.

Bengals have a number of top players still on their rookie contracts, that will change in the next couple of years....so reality is the invoice will be coming due.

Mahomes on the other hand took up 17% of the salary cap....highest for a Super Bowl. The Cincy gm will need to earn his salary soon.

Sirianni and his staff were taken to school by Reid and company. Eagles had a great initial game plan on both sides of the ball, but Reid adjusted. Sirianni had no counterpunch.
