Well right now florio & some others are saying that GB got the better of the deal cause that #1 next yr (most likely) wasn't expected.
Obviously if they make a super bowl run &/or rogers plays next year then you could argue it's worth it but thats a big if.

Oh favre was traded for only a 3rd rounder.

Florio was right he did say the trade would be done either friday of the draft or before then.

Yeah you won't be seeing a king's ransom for a 37 who will be 38 in december QB. I think the Packers did ok, gained a few spots in tommorows first round, gained a high second rounder and a more then likely late first rounder next year, but the most important thing is the cash savings for the Packers.

For the Jets even if Rodgers puts up an average year for himself, he would break QB records for the Jet's franchise. Jets go from #32 in the league for QB play to top 10 imo.

Last yrs game vs NYG was most watched reg season game ever.
