I’ve already seen plenty of stupid posts about “why the Lions? There’s other deserving teams” and “Lions lose a blowout” in regards to season opener with Kansas City.

I don’t mind predictions. I love predictions. But whatever happened to maturity, logic, statistics??? Lions were one of the hottest teams in the 2nd half and could have played with anyone. Top 5 offense. Yadda yadda .. and no one here. I mean in the larger public cesspool of social media. I wish people would let the games speak for themselves.

Same concept goes to draft players. Don’t call them a bust. Let their play do the speaking.

We have Green Bay week 4 (Thursday) and the Thanksgiving game as well. 3 National TV games on Thursday im happy for. If im wrong about the draft then this team is going to surprise. They need to pick up right where they left off on a winning streak, hopefully beating the Chiefs at Arrowhead would be the perfect start to the year.

Spread was KC -7 now down to -6.5 so DET is getting bet.
I think its until DET wins people are still apprehensive about them especially when they thought it might be PHI or BUF or CIN in that spot.

But as NFL vp of broadcasting Onnie Bose basically said today (reading between the lines) the season opening game gets huge viewership anyways so they saved those perceived bigger games for later on.

God sometimes the NFL is so dumb they do so much to get it right then they do shit like this.

MNF should be 8pm EST and thats it no other games. No choosing between. Like Thursday its a dedicated game.

They won't get the chance it looks like, Brady coming back to the NFL but as a part minority owner with the Las Vegas Raiders it is strongly rumored this morning. If that happens i very much doubt Brady goes back for any kind of celebration night, it would be awkward to say the least. Bob Kraft jumped the gun on this, way to soon imo..

I agree that Detroit caught fire the second half of the season and look to have made some great strides but as a season opener, its just not a sexy, eye catching matchup. I do hope its a hell of a game and they beat the defending champs though. That would be a great story and catch peoples eye, set the tone for the season. But again, on paper its a meh matchup for folks who aren't Lions or Chiefs fans I would guess.
