Going to cut Greg Jennings from my fantasy roster tonight, good thing I have excellent depth at receiver so it doesn't hurt me that much. Still have Colston, Robinson, Jackson and Harvin. Also going to start your Ryan Grant this week, hoping he gives me a repeat performance of this week. 19-0 for your team, I think, with another win over Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl.

Nobody said they did and its odd why that came up but talented doesn't mean you show up when it matters (or even produce). Yes Miles can burn KC for 250 (but vanishes in playoffs, drops balls in big games) , yes Dez is big fast strong (but can't get a 100 yard game or when he does it's against bad teams). And Robinson seems to be more of the same in that respect as he can put 137 on a very depleted Giants team but vanishes all the same.

Obvious helmet to helmet hits happen on goal line plays, every week. Ball carriers are not afforded the same protections as they're not deemed defenseless.
Are you talking about when they jump over the pile or when a RB lowers his head??

In that case yeah, it happens.

But when a defender launches @ a player and uses the top of their helmet or facemask and catches the ball carrier in the helmet, that will usually be called as a personal foul.

Harrison is a head hunter, on all of his personal fouls, I’ve never seen him try to pull up or put his head off to the side of the ball carrier.

On a good tackle, u put your head between the sideline and the ball carrier or you bury your facemask in their #’s….u don’t put your facemask into the other players mask.

yeah, i wouldn't expect to see jennings again until the last game and that may only be for a series or 2 just to get him back into the game a bit.

he won't get much playing time until the 2nd round of the playoffs.

that would be nice....so u think Pit. will make it back to the SB.??

There are 3 teams in the AFC good enough to get there - New England, Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I think it'll be the Squealers for sure but that's why they play the games.

More than just on goalline plays. A ball carrier is not given the same protections. And a spear, which is what you're referring to, is when the defensive player leads with their helmet and leaves their feet during the tackle. That's the only way it's illegal on a ball carrier.

And, of course, that's what you're going to see on his personal fouls. They're only going to throw the flag on those kinds of hits. Well, they did get him like two years ago for doing a suplex tackle. But other than that, if a PF plag comes out, that's what just about any defensive player is being penalized for.

Whoever it may be, the packers defense is gonna have to tighten up like they did last week if they want to make another run to the super bowl.

The way I’m reading your posts, you are comparing 2 completely different types of tackles.

If a RB is in the open or on the goal line and lowers his head to bull rush the defender and the defender gets just as low and their collide helmet to helmet, that will go uncalled b/c it wasn’t intentional. (this is not what Harrison did).

A WR is coming across the middle and a safety launches @ the guy leading w/this helmet, that will get called. (this is what Harrison did w/the exception of leaving his feet).

A DE comes into the backfield and catches the QB on the helmet even a little, that will get called.

The bottom line is this, Harrison could’ve put his shoulder into McCoy and got the same result….but he didn’t…..he lead w/his helmet.

Hitting him w/the shoulder would’ve done a hell of a lot more to McCoy…..it would’ve been like a jackhammer hitting McCoy @ that point. But Harrison being the player he is chose to lead w/the helmet and possibly hurt the player.

Any player that is concerned for the safety/well being of a fellow player wouldn’t lead w/their helmet.

Wes Welker never gets over 100 yards against the best defenses either. Man that guy clearly sucks.

I really want to see who you view as a good receiver, because apparently to you you are either the elitist of the elite or you suck.

I think if that was Tebow or Cam, there would be no suspension. But because Colt is like 90 lbs it just looked a lot worse. And I want Harrison tackling like he did if it's Tebow or Cam. And the fact that Colt tucked the ball and ran towards Harrison, well he needs to be a little bit more smart. Not saying Colt deserved it, but Harrison is known for big hits, it's like you were taunting him saying "you're not going to hit me!"

And my question is, did Ray Lewis get fined for his hit on Ward? That was helmet to helmet and Ward went out with a concussion.

The same kind of hit that McCoy took happens to RBs all the time and is not flagged. In fact, if you can even point to one H2H flag that's been thrown on a hit to a ball carrier, this year, I'd be surprised. The difference between the hit on McCoy and your average halfback, they don't stand still and crap their pants when the impact comes and make it worse on themselves.

42 solo tackles and 8 sacks. 1 PF, and his first offense this season. I'd say he's definitely changing the way he plays the game. He came at McCoy at an odd angle and he put on a big hit with little time to adjust. Harrison doesn't start throwing punches after a play, or try to stomp on downed lineman. He tries to put on big hits between the whistles.

Later in Thursday's game (to use it in comparison), after Paxson already sacked Ben Reothlisberger and rolled his ankle, Paxson put on a late ankle grab (well after the ball was thrown) and pulled Roethlisberger to the ground with the full intent of doing damage to his already injured ankle. The refs did not see it, so no flag was thrown. And it was Ben Roethlisberger (a "villain"), so the league did not care.

But, clearly, that's not a player showing no concern for another man on the field.

Seem to recall him dropping 192 on the team that lost the AFC championship in 2009 (JETS).

*He also has 7 games over 100 and 1 over 200 this year

Guess you missed those drops Austin had in the playoffs when the cowboys should have won games, or bowed out of the spotlight. It's ok you seem to miss allot of games.

We also haven't seen Bryant or Robinson in the playoffs so who knows if they'll step up, all I know is Austin BLEW BLEW BLEW that 2007 Giants game along with others. He will never be elite.

While he was a great player and we haven't really had a great safety since, I thought he was a dirty player because he always led with his helmet, he would've been run out of Goodell's NFL. Oh and the Cowboys were in this same situation in 2009 but won 3 straight and made the play-offs. Do I think history will repeat itself? No but I sure hope it does.

Austin also botched that fumble recovery in the Vikings game when it was 0-0

Austin and Dez are inconsistent I will admit but both are capable of greatness. Robinson is probably the best "#3 receiver" in the league, doubt any of the others have 8 touchdowns. He also runs fantastic routes and rarely drops passes, he's every bit the player we thought Roy would be when we traded all those picks to get him.
