I missed the asterisk comment, Collinsworth can eat a D if he feels thats the case. Sure they had no Kelce or Jones - we can say we didn't have Jameson Williams, for whatever thats worth. Point is, injuries are part of the game and we can't control that.

It was the other announcer that made the asterisk comment not collinsworth. Lions had more injuries then that. 1 of our new cb was not playing either so our defense was not at full strength. The loss for kc had **** all to do with missing ppl. It all came down to turnovers. That pick 6 on Mahomes is what did KC in

Tee Higgins def gone after this year. No way they can afford to keep Burrow, Chase and Higgins.

If you believe the player is going to have a long career (for Burrow this seems likely enough) then you can do a full restructure later on where the base salary gets converted to a signing bonus. You'll save against the salary cap with the conversion. Mahomes already had a partial restructure (of his roster bonus, I believe) for example.

it was Tirico, surprisingly, who made the asterisk comment. He was catching sh-t for it last night and this morning all over the place, and rightfully so.
He's a smart, respected guy, which is why I think it caught everyone off guard. Like you said, injuries are part of the game. Did anyone put an asterisk on Philly's NFCC win last season when they played team without a QB for 2.5 quarters? As a Niner fan it sucked so bad but it was just the worst possible injury luck you could have at the worst possible time, and yes just unfortunately part of the game. Honestly what sucked even more was garbage Eagles fans acting like it was a fair fight.

My thought was more can we put an asterisk on every time the Refs have screwed the Lions and cost them a game.

Calvin not completing the process comes to mind or Atlanta and the 10 second runoff noone knew about.

Tirico was an ass for that comment the Lions finally play like a real team. The national audience finally recognizes them as a legit threat, and they have the hype and Vegas love, the team played controlled and methodical, even had calm body language despite the 35 false starts KC had. Then to have the announcer undermine a gutsy win just almost took away from the moment.

Basically said KC without 2 of their 3 best players & playing lousy still wins the game if KT makes that easy catch to put them in FG range.
DET offense scored only 14 pts against an avg KC def with no CJ.

LOL ppl crack me up Det was without its best CB last night and held Mahomes to 226 and 2TD. PPL need to stop making excuses for why Det beat the SB champs on the night of their banner raising. How about just admitting Det was the better team last night and be done with it.

Quite frankly its a much different game if the following happens

1. Det does not fumble inside KC 20 in 1st half
2. Toney does not drop 3 critical balls
3. KC is actually called for the false starts
4. KC is called for Ineligible formations

Both teams played 60 minutes of football Detroit looked better stop making excuses for KC.

Detroit did what they should have done with both those players out

Media is all the same they make excuses for the favored or preferred team and still try to dog the team or city that FINALLY had something good happen

You guys are all the same its Still Det. vs Everybody

Hell if I'm Seattle and I just watched that game I'm not even boarding the plane next week to go to Detroit.

Yea LOL but theres basically at least some % of an * on every game winner.

Last wk DET was a 3 pt fav over SEA in wk2.
Today DET is still a 3 pt fav over SEA in wk2.

That shows DET power rating really didnt change just as they said it wouldnt.
