![]() ![]() For decades they roasted us for being 5-3 in the Super Bowl while they were 5-0. They were also all so convinced that they would drag Mahomes and old man Kelce yesterday. Not to mention they haven't won it all since 1994 but diss us for not doing it since 1995. Pretty good day to be a Cowboys fan. |

that one point did matter but as pointed out earlier, it was several things that added up to the loss. I am not seeing anywhere in fandom really hung up on this. Moody had two FG's over 50 yds (the first of which was a SB record until Butker broke it a quarter later) No one is upset with Moody. As Romo pointed out, those Chiefs ST linemen have a long reach and they got a hold of one when it counted.
Quote:
Reasonable Niner fans knew Mahomes and Reid would be an issue. Kelce turned things around in the postseason after really looking his age during the regular season. Enjoy this though, as stated earlier this season, it's all you guys have. Your team has had a whopping FOUR playoff wins since 2000, all of them coming in the wild card round lol |

Chiefs talked a lot about the playoff OT rules all season. They said they were ready to go for the 2 point conversion if 49ers scored a touchdown first and they followed that up with one themselves. That would have been epic.....

Because it's never too early. Opening lines for Super Bowl winner for the 2024 season. These seem reasonable, for the most part. Seemed obvious the Niners and Chiefs would start out as the two favorites, with the teams that came close (Baltimore, Buffalo, Detroit), along with Cincinnati on the next tier.

I hope Shanahan and Lynch address some of the issues that have been plaguing the 49ers for a while now this offseason. Need to use some picks on offensive lineman and see if they strike gold. Brock Purdy avoided quite a few sacks with his scrambling, could have been worse. The secondary is another weakness that needs some work. Quote:
![]() Dallas hasn’t sniffed an NFC championship game in 29 yrs. And that bolded hyperbole bs….. “all”, really? You better hope that the rumors of Dakota becoming the highest paid QB in the NFL don’t come true ( 60 mil a yr was mentioned in one article lol). |

The bar right now is a great regular season QB who usually wins 12+ games and craps the bed in the play-offs. Most QBs in the draft and in free agency aren't going to hit that mark, as much as I want Dak gone for always faceplanting in the post-season.

The NFC has been far more of a crapshoot for going on a decade and a half than the AFC, so it's much more wide open for a team like Dallas to slip through.
The Patriots or Chiefs have won the AFC 9 of the last 13 years, with only 5 different teams winning it in that span. In that same span, 8 different teams have won the NFC, with only one team (Niners) representing the NFC more than 2 times. That may well be the case for the next decade, given there appears to be no clear rival to Mahomes in the AFC, and the NFC currently appears to have no particular QB who you can say for certain will have his team competing for titles every season. Purdy could end up being that guy, but it's too early to know. |

Purdy is a safe player, he's not going to be the guy who wins you games you shouldn't win.
The problem with Prescott is he's incredible in the regular season but seems to have performance anxiety about the play-offs. If he can't overcome it, he's probably done in Dallas. I kinda want him gone, imagine a career reset somewhere else would be good for him but finding someone of his caliber in the draft or free agency is not as easy as people think. I'm guessing fans forgot the laundry list of QBs we went through between Aikman and Romo. |

on your second, all of the blame falls on the "incredible" Dak? None of it falls on McCarthy? Garrett before him? Jerry? Average run game? Your falling out of love with one of your star players, is something long time posters in this thread have seen before. "his caliber" L O L - yes you can get someone with similar stats in FA, develop through the draft. Not gonna give Lance a shot? |
