Derrick Henry is now averaging 6.5 yards per carry this season. The single season record for yards per carry by a RB is Jim Brown, with 6.4 yards per carry in 1963.

Lions WR Jameson Williams Suspended 2 games for PES policy violation

Williams was suspended for violating the NFL's Performance-Enhancing Substance (PES) policy, which is also colloquially known as the NFL's Performance-Enhancing Drug (PED) policy.

The NFL and NFLPA jointly developed the policy. According to a 2023 version of the document, it is designed "to prohibit and prevent the use of anabolic/androgenic steroids (including exogenous testosterone), stimulants, human or animal growth hormones, whether natural or synthetic, and related or similar substances."

NFL players are subject to random testing for these substances and can be asked to provide as many as 24 blood or urine tests per year. Players who produce a positive test are subject to discipline, and any player who refuses to appear for required testing or doesn't cooperate fully with the collection process is also considered to be in violation of the policy.

As such, Williams either tested positive for a banned substance, which, given the length of his suspension, would come from the "Stimulant, Diuretic, or Masking Agent" category, or he didn't cooperate with a request to test.

Detroit Lions upcoming schedule
Williams is expected to miss Detroit's next two games after his suspension. They are as follows:

Week 8: vs. Tennessee Titans

Week 9: at Green Bay Packers

The Lions will still be favored to beat the Titans, but being without the speedster in their Week 9 clash with the Packers could hurt their chances of winning in the ever-difficult Lambeau Field environment.

Lions / Vikings on January 5th is going to be the 8:20 game if it comes down to playoff appearance or seed. Im hearing both teams looking to upgrade in the next 2 weeks with the Lions being linked most to Maxx Crosby and the Vikings being linked upto a few hours ago Matt Stafford.

It now appears Stafford to Vikings is being shot down.

Vikings are being linked to Jeffrey Simmons or DJ Jones

I seriously doubt Simmons or Crosby get moved realistically I think the Lions get Za'Darius Smith. Other potential trade targets include Giants edge rusher Azeez Ojulari or Panthers edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney

Even with half the 49ers roster on IR the Cowboys will somehow find a way to let them stick around or lose the game. We're just as banged up.

If its just for seeding then its doubtful cause they generally like win & in games.

That was a terrible game, and Darnold did not look good. Have to get rid of that ball. Should have been a facemask, though, but I don't think the end result would have mattered.

I hope it does get bumped to a 4th (as I'm sure most Chiefs fans would too). It only goes to 4th, if Chiefs make the Super Bowl and Hopkins plays 60% of the snaps.

Giving up a 4th for a chance of a 3 peat would be worth it and I think most ppl would agree.
