KC didn't play many of the starters and pulled the interior OL after the first series. They also performed a vanilla playbook on both offense and defense. Maybe they plan on making a splash in the playoffs vs "throwing the game" in deference to the Bengals.

Who do you think would have had a better chance of beating the Chiefs in the playoffs: Buffalo or Bengals?

By wondering if the Chiefs "threw the game" because they were scared of the Bengals....in essence, you are saying Cincy would beat Buffalo in the Wild Card Weekend Game.

Just to clarify for my Iowa friend (btw, grew up in Iowa and Hawkeye fan).

Chiefs did NOT throw the game to prevent Cincy from the playoffs. They could give a flying F if Cincy is in or out.

For Chiefs fans, this is what the X timeline has been like since yesterday:

The Vikings are probably going to draft a cornerback.

a team who started Will Levis and Mason Rudolph this past season needs to pass on a QB in the draft?

man that MIN-DET game was built up so much and /sad trombone

lol at Cowboys fan taking shots at the Vikes, ok

EDIT - Bears have asked permission to speak to Mike McCarthy about the open HC position. Apparently, DAL hold exclusive negotiation right until Jan 14.

this. in general, why stay in a relationship if you know its not working, worth saving? in fairness to Mayo, the roster in general is bad whoever was the HC this past season was going to be in a tough spot. But they will have $130m in cap room this offseason so there is some good news on that front at least.

That's hilarious. I don't hate the Jets nor have hard feelings (really zero feelings)...so I don't wish him upon the Jets, but I do think it will be fun to watch him fail in the NFL again.

He's been throwing his hat in the ring everyday he's on ESPN...he's run out of hats.

Kraft f*cked up, there was a clause when Mayo renewed back then that would make him the next one up for the HC position, Kraft just rectified this HUGE mistake by firing his @ss now, Mayo was never ready to be a HC.
