DAL denied CHI request to interview McCarthy

CHI will interview Pete Carroll on Thursday

not a fan of Kelce but he's absolutely right here about the talk of screwing CIN out of the playoffs. KC has been to 4/5 last Super Bowls and won three of them - why would they be ducking anybody?

Quote:
Travis Kelce isn't having any talk that the Kansas City Chiefs rested many of their starters against the Denver Broncos last Sunday in order to lose and keep the Cincinnati Bengals out of the playoffs.

On their "New Heights" podcast, Jason Kelce brought up that speculation to his brother, the star Chiefs tight end, who scoffed at the notion.

"I ain't scared of f---ing nobody," Travis Kelce said. "I wanted them in the f---ing playoffs. I want to slay every dragon one by one, like Mortal Kombat. I don't even want this to be like we play the lowest seed. Just give me the best teams."

"AFC, NFC, give me all of them, Mortal Kombat-style," Kelce added. "I'll go through every f---ing one of them just giving them my best f--ing effort. I ain't scared of a single soul, man."

The Bengals (9-8) finished the season with five straight victories buoyed by career seasons from Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase. However, they needed losses by the Miami Dolphins and Broncos to make the postseason. Miami lost 32-20 to the New York Jets but the Broncos (10-7) defeated the Chiefs 38-0 to clinch the AFC's final wild-card spot.

Burrow finished the season as the league leader in passing touchdowns (43) and passing yards (4,918). Chase won the receiving triple crown after topping his peers in the three major categories (1,708 yards, 17 touchdowns, 127 receptions). And defensive end Trey Hendrickson led all players with 17.5 sacks.

After the Bengals defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 19-17 in their season finale Saturday night, coach Zac Taylor said the rest of the NFL was "not going to want us in this tournament, I promise you."

The Bengals beat the Chiefs in overtime 27-24 in the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium after the 2021 season to reach the Super Bowl and then played them tough again in the next season's AFC title game, losing 23-20. Before that loss, Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton called the Chiefs' home "Burrowhead."

"I'll play them at the Walmart parking lot," Kelce said. "I don't give a s---. We can have our own game in the offseason where we really duke it out.

"Listen, I love competing against the greatest. The Bengals were a fun-ass f---ing team to watch there towards the end of the season, and it's a shame they didn't make it in the playoffs, because they would have made the playoffs that much f---ing crazier and that much more fun."

Have the owners of the Bears not watched the NFL in a decade or so?

Cowboy fans have to be irate their idiot owner blocked this.

And on the KC thing, while not against the rules let's all stop pretending like KC tried here, and that they didnt have any thought of getting rid of a team that arguably has the best qb/wr combo of any team in the playoffs. I dont know how the NFL can fix this issue, adding games onto the season only gives teams more reason to rest players and turn end of the season games into jokes!

I wish KC hadn’t tried. I’d feel somewhat better about our bench and practice squad players that suited up. The reality is all key personnel weren’t n the field and those that were starters or good secondary players were pulled before half. The coaches obviously had a VERY vanilla game plan…why would they offer up plays going into the playoffs?

This was for all intents and purposes the same approach as the last game in the preseason. Hell, they had a LB who hadn’t been on the team the week before take a fair number of snaps.

Ppl need to also consider the number of extra games the Chiefs have played over the last 6 seasons. It’s anything but sucks, but some core players have played more than an extra seasons worth of games over that period. So the wear and tear is real

We're not saying KC tried we all know they didn't.
We're just saying that even if CIN was already eliminated KC still wouldn't have tried.

For all the numbers Burrow and Chase put up this year……they finished 9-8. They had to rely on someone else to put them in the playoffs. Bengals fans should be mad at their team.

I dislike KC so much. The Swift connection makes it more intense.

Really hope they give you another reason to hate the Chiefs after this year’s Super Bowl.

Think how insufferable the Chiefs and us fans will be if they 3peat?

Rams tickets are only $90 on official reseller Ticketmaster because of the LA fires.

I don't mind refunds if they move the game to Arizona... tempting.

Thanks. My only source of internet is my phone so as much as I hate to, I'll try to watch it on that.

This is some ol' bull****.

Inglewood is extremely far away the wildfires. The chances of a wildfire sweeping through Inglewood are so very, very remote.

Its more about air quality which has to be at a certain number level + taking away police/security/ems etc.
