Don’t know what people are expecting. Flacco was always going to start. Unless Gabriel or Sanders just wowed from the start, I expected Flacco to start. Plus, he has been the best looking so far. The two rookies aren’t ready to start.

Hendrickson saga might be coming to an end with no trade happening.

ESPN's Laura Rutledge reported before the start of the Cincinnati Bengals' NFL preseason game against the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, that defensive end Trey Hendrickson and the team have agreed on the years and total dollar amount for a new contract, but not on guaranteed money.

Hendrickson made the trip with the team for the game Monday night, but did not play. He was seen having a lengthy conversation on the sideline with director of player personnel Duke Tobin.

Why would you not go after Parsons at this point who is 26 and imo a better player.

Because we all know Micah isn't leaving Dallas. And lets be real can you imagine what Detroit's Backfield would look like if you had Hutch and Hendrickson. Even yes Parsons and Hutch would be insane, but I don't see Dallas trading him.

CLE are going nowhere this season, just start one of the two guys you spent draft picks on But hey, nothing they're doing over there makes any sense so points for consistency!

So let me get this straight. Cincy has one of the worst defenses in the league, and they don't want to give their best and only pass rusher on defense a new deal lol. Also, they should also be worried about that atrocious O-line. Burrow was getting thrown around like a rag doll the other night, and you don't want to have a bad O-line in a division that has TJ Watt and Myles Garrett. They better hope they can score 40-plus points a game because the O-line and defense are both terrible.

When you give your QB and 2 star WR's basically 1/3rd of your yearly cap space, sacrifices have to be made. Hendrickson is already their 4th largest cap hit after these 3. Looks like they have around 27 million is cap space with him already making over 18 million this season.

If either of them really showed anything, then they would start. Not every QB is ready from the get go and both of the rookies aren’t ready. They both have a similar style of play to Flacco. So, having them backup him and learning the system and catching up to the speed of the NFL will help them instead of being fed to the lions and possibly stunt their growth. Cleveland had done a lot of stuff to not help qbs grow and expected greatness from the start.

not familiar with Gabriel but Sanders play is not similar to Flacco. not saying either rooks are ready but you learn through experience, why waste time when the season is pretty much a write off.
oh well, a bit moot, I am guessing a few games into the season they'll make a switch.

Not sure why the Vikings aren’t playing JJ McCarthy. He’s supposed to be QB 1 this season and has only played in a total of two preseason games including last year. If anybody needs the reps it’s him especially after missing a full season of development.
