Cowboys Giants is a complete coin flip imo
Both teams have a history of meltdowns Spags should go to the Eagles, he can do some nice things if he has the talent ![]() Last edited by Tony208; 12-27-2011 at 07:48 PM. |

Aside from that game, I'm interested to see who wins (loses?) the Indianapolis/Jacksonville game. Assuming the Niners take care of the Rams, the Rams still have a shot at Andrew Luck (or trading the #1 pick...) |

I heard on Sirius NFL Channel 2 minute drill that Jon Gruden has changed his mind about coaching again. I WANT Jim Irsay to give him a blank check cause I want Gruden as my team HC.
BTW, he loves Peyton, he's always calls him "the sheriff". |

Jon Gruden may be the most over-rated HC out there, just let him go to Miami and ruin that franchise for a few years. Wonder how many Cowboys make the Pro Bowl, I think it'll be just Romo, Witten and Ware the way things are going, even if I think at least one of our receivers, Tyron Smith and Sean Lee also all deserve to go.

He hasn't played well the second half of the season but it's not all his fault. We've been playing from behind virtually every game. He's had to take chances to try and get us back in the game. He's going to end the year with over 4,000 yards passing, that is quite an accomplishment for playing on a team with 15 players on IR.

Man's game. There's no such thing as "running up the score." Atlanta's problem isn't with the Saints scoring too many points, it's with their defense for not showing up. Want to keep Payton from "running up the score"? Learn how to make a stop.

Is Detroit playing for anything in the last game? Odds have Detroit a 3.5 point favorite over GB. Guess they believe the Lions are playing everyone and not the Packers.
Jags are only 4 point favorites over Indy in that crucial battle for the #1 pick that Indy needs to lose. |

Lions need a win to keep the #5 seed. If they would lose to the Packers and the Falcons would beat the Buccaneers then the Falcons would be the #5 seed and play at Dallas/New York and the Lions would play at New Orleans (assuming the 49ers beat the Rams).

Fantasy and real surprises this year and should be considered for Pro Bowl and higher draft in next year
Darren Sproles for a guy who averages only 5.4 rushing attempts and 5.4 receptions per game to be 13th in fantasy among RB ![]() thats only 11 touches per game average 7 yards per rush attempt and 8.4 yards per reception Gronk more than doubled his yardage total from last year and 15 TD's in 15 games it'll go down as the best season for a TE in history LeSean "Shady" McCoy Barry Sander's like elusiveness 20 Total touchdowns and 1 fumble He's been impressive in recent years but this year he made the jump to elite status Reggie "can run between tackles" Bush Had just one or two 100 yard games in years before becoming a Dolphin Has 5 this year and one of them was a 200 yard game Victory Cruize Virtually unknown receiver who's put up a pro bowl season in just 13 games Laurent Robinson Emerged from nowhere very much like Miles Austin to have a very good season Cam Newton A guy who I thought was a big sleeper coming into this season and someone I drafted in the later rounds ![]() Broke Manning's rookie record and QB rushing record, back to back 400 yard games in first 2 starts ![]() Could make the Pro Bowl as an alternate and will win ROTY Last edited by Tony208; 12-27-2011 at 11:18 PM. |

Thought it would be interesting to see the historical passer numbers for the NFL given how many records are falling in recent years. Here are the numbers for the past several years as well as for years past for historical reference. Numbers are passing yards per game per team and average league QB rating.
Terry Bradshaw is considered an all-time great an his career QB rating was 70.9. In 2011 we have 30 of 34 qualified QB's with a rating higher than that. A 70.9 rating nowadays is Rex Grossman, Colt McCoy Christian Ponder level. Goes to showing how much the rules of the game have changed to benefit QB's in recent decades. Quote:
