Philly.com's Sheil Kapadia believes LCB Asante Samuel will most likely be the "odd man out" in the Eagles' secondary this offseason.
Shopped during camp and before the trade deadline, Samuel has graded out as Pro Football Focus' 12th best cornerback, which is 77 spots ahead of Nnamdi Asomugha. Targeted 55 times, he's allowed just 4.5 yards per pass. Samuel will turn 31 in January, however, and is set to make $8.4 million in 2012. The odds are high he'll be wearing a new uniform next season.

Also much like the Redskins do allot, they picked wrong on a coach. While you see guys like Tomlin, Harbaugh's, Jim Schwartz, Mike McCarthy, Rex Ryan, and Sean Payton come in and do well apart from Schwartz and maybe Ryan, the rest have had fairly well established teams in place for them to come in and make some changes, but haven't had to do a total overhaul. Which is what both your team and my team need. Welcome to the club

Garrett is at least trying, even if he is severely lacking as both an in-game manager/adjustment maker and an OC, Shenanigans still strikes me as being in DC only to collect a paycheck. The problem in big D is every coach since Jimmy except Parcells has been a puppet, Jerry is the real head coach. I mean we just had the wonderful 2009 special teams draft and I BELIEVE all 12 players we took are no longer on the team. Probably a big part of the reason our team is still lacking on defense and the offensive line.

Thankfully Parcells put enough talent in place that you guys aren't in redskins/ jags failure. Also you've made a couple pick ups along the way that have allowed you to stay on the plus side of things. I figure had you gotten a guy like Harbaugh (and jerry really stayed out of it) you might be allot better (even if your safeties are TERRIBLE ). But I agree, still not a fan of Garrett or big rob.

Not big Rob's fault Ware is our only consistent pass rusher or that Jenkins is our only defensive back worth anything. We have the offensive talent to hang with anybody as long as our line blocks well, our defense needs to improve a lot talent-wise. Hoping for a couple good free agent pick-ups and a draft that focuses completely on the defense and the offensive line.

Dolphins and Reggie Bush went on a roll ever since that "stink" fest. Calling each other out does work.

Happy New Year Lads. Here's to starting the year off right and the Browns beating the Squeelers later on today. That would put us at 5-11 but throw a major monkey wrench into their Divisional title hopes.

Gettin' in the digs while I can...GO BROWNS.

Tony...He's a repeat offender who smashed Colt in the face (helmet to helmet) a few weeks ago. Turning his knee into a pretzel with a chop block wouldn't upset me at all...GO BROWNS!!!

Since Canadian networks can show whatever games they want, all meaningful games will be broadcast today. I will only be watching the Dolphins at 1pm though(checking on the 49ers during breaks), and SD@OAK and KC@DEN in splitscreen at 4:15pm.

Quote:
Jets assistant coach Matt Cavanaugh is ''pleased'' with the development of Mark Sanchez, and believes he is capable of being the team's franchise quarterback.
''I have a hard time understanding the criticisms," Cavanaugh said. ''I’m convinced he’s going to be a great quarterback. Is there room for improvement? Absolutely. Is he making strides and going in the right direction each year? I absolutely believe he is." Sanchez is 31-21 as a starter, but his completion percentage and yards per attempt are major concerns going forward, as he often looks uncomfortable in the pocket, frequently making incorrect reads and checking down. Half of his games this season have resulted in under 200 yards passing, and he currently ranks second in the AFC with 23 turnovers.

ESPN's Adam Seftner is reporting that if the Colts miss out on Luck, they are (Bill Polian) is interested in RG III: My opinion, I hope the Colts don't pick him b/c to me he reminds me of M. Vick.

NFLN's Jason La Canfora is reporting that Caldwell will most likely be back as HC: My opinion, I hope he's wrong, I want Caldwell OUT.

I heard on Sunday Countdown at the beginning that if the Bills beat the Pats then the Bills have totally mess up a lot of seedings in the AFC.

Why not, did Clay Matthews hit him too hard in practice or something?
