Romo is fine, the team needs a little better offensive and defensive line and a whole new secondary. Asante Samuel might be the odd man out in Philly, maybe they can grab him.

Just because Romo can't take a above average team to the Super Bowl doesn't mean he's overrated. The expectations for him and the Cowboys are unrealistic.

Larry Fitzgerald is just a beast, had his 3rd 1400 yard season even with the poor QB play in Arizona. He single handed helped them win like 5 games with circus catches in the 4th quarter and overtime.

It's a double-edged sword for Romo, he plays well most of the time so people expect more out of the Cowboys. Still think flipping our tackles will make our offensive line a lot better. Smith is a beast and will probably anchor the left side for a long time, Free is obviously not a LT but should be fine on the right side where he won't have to deal with a team's #1 pass rusher every week.

I view the Cowboys as a well below average team that's being propped up by the QB, the receivers, and some really good running backs.*

They have no consistent QB rush outside of Ware, they have just an awful secondary, they have a defensive line prone to giving up huge rushing plays at any moment, they have an O-Line that breaks down way too many times a game, and they went from a coach with no player control whatsoever to a new coach who still hasn't figured out things like time management.

* This view is why I think suggestions like Sleeper's of getting rid of the QB unbelievable. Let's take the only part of the entire team that actually works, and destroy it. That'll fix the team?!?!

If they want Andrew Luck it will, no way they hold onto a $28 million back-up.

I can't believe that Irsay fired both Polians and Caldwell. I knew and wanted Caldwell gone, but wasn't expecting Bill Polian to be fired.

holy moly! didn't see that coming! i wonder why they're cleaning house so much? they go from perennial playoff / division winner (sometimes SB contender / pick) to oen bad year because their HoF QB goes down and everyone running the ship gets thrown overboard?

suddenly if i'm Luck, Indy doesn't look like such a great place to be! now you're going in with a whole new regime. which in a way, could be a good thing (fresh start with a fresh QB) but then again you could have it the other way around where Indy suddenly turns into a SF type deal with Alex Smith dealing with new coaches and coordinators every single season

however, if Indy does need a new coach, lots of big names out there that might like the chance to start over / out with the #1 pick (aka Luck)

- GB's offensive coordinator
- Gruden
- Sparano
- Cowher

some solid choices to look at.

The Rams are reaching out to him with heavy interest, I'd like him also but Jerry has his hand too far up Jason Garrett's
[Show spoiler]back
to consider another head coach.

Honestly don't see him returning to coaching, think Jerry Jones and Terrell Owens burned him out to the point he can no longer handle all the work and stress in the NFL.

same. and i agree. i think if he went somewhere else for a few years then maybe he'd come back now, but going to Dallas, at that time, and with Dallas always having all eyes on them, it was just too much. and he always coached at "big" cities teams which are always under incredible scrutiny (both New York's and Dallas). hell, the least scrutiny was New England by far.

and if i'm the Colts i'd want all younger guys - maybe one older experienced GM guy - just so they can all grow up together.

wouldn't be surprised if they press heavily for the Packer's OC. which leads me to this brilliant idea, although it would be risky...

Colts do an all out press for the Packers OC as Coach AND sign Flynn in free agency and then use the #1 pick for an OT or a defensive guy. or trade down a little bit to a team desperate for a QB and load up on draft picks the next few years and then build up their line and defense.

again, that would be incredibly, incredibly risky to pass on Luck and there's of course no guarantee Flynn will be any good outside of the weapons at GB, but just saying, it would be entertaining to see
