and if i'm the Colts i'd want all younger guys - maybe one older experienced GM guy - just so they can all grow up together.

wouldn't be surprised if they press heavily for the Packer's OC. which leads me to this brilliant idea, although it would be risky...

Colts do an all out press for the Packers OC as Coach AND sign Flynn in free agency and then use the #1 pick for an OT or a defensive guy. or trade down a little bit to a team desperate for a QB and load up on draft picks the next few years and then build up their line and defense.

again, that would be incredibly, incredibly risky to pass on Luck and there's of course no guarantee Flynn will be any good outside of the weapons at GB, but just saying, it would be entertaining to see
I'd do it if there was some guarantee you could also get Justin Blackmon for him to throw to and at least 2 stud offensive linemen. A new QB, WR and 2 new good OL would probably go a long way to turning Indy around in the right direction. It's a controversial opinion and this is coming from someone who thinks Romo is incredible but I think we need to trade him now and draft a young QB and build around that guy. Too bad Jerry doesn't agree, betting once Romo leaves it will take a long time for us to get another franchise QB, it's not like Jerry is any good at getting one.

I wouldn't use Mortensen as a legitimate source, the dude frequently guesses and his guesses tend to be wrong. He's slightly better than that idiot Sean Clayton but not much, Adam Schefter is the only BSPN source I trust.

Buffalo fired George Edwards and promoted Dave Wannstedt to defensive coordinator. Fantastic move. While Wannstedt is a terrible head coach, he is a very good defensive coach.

Wild Card point spreads.

Houston over Cincinnati by 3
New Orleans over Detroit by 10.5
NY Giants over Atlanta by 3
Pittsburgh over Denver by 8

The Giants favored... really? I bet Atlanta wins by 7 or more.

Atlanta is on the road. They won't win on the road vs a veteran Giants team.

Even though people rag on Dallas for sucking, they still give the Giants big credit for beating them twice.

The Giants have one playoff-opponent win all year, yet somehow beating Dallas twice and losing close to the Pack makes them "hot". Or something. ESPN was comparing them to the Giants team that won the superbowl all day.

My top 2 wishlist as our newest HC for the Colts is A. Jon Gruden and B, Jeff Fisher. If I had to take a guess, B looks more favorable.

Looks like people on here are even buying into the hype. Giants are going to get rolled. This Giants team went 9-7 (Atlanta 10-6) and actually gave up more points than they scored for the year.

I'll go with:

Atlanta - 26
NY Giants - 13

Guess the ESPN tools think Strahan and Co. are going to magically appear in the playoffs or Brett Favre is going to show up to throw another game to help this Giants team. It's a shell of the 2007 team.

With the Giants Swiss Cheese secondary, they will get shredded by Matt Ryan and his arsenal of weapons!

Idk. I think the Giants can win

Atlanta doesn't have a great defense and depending on the weather who knows how they'll play outdoors in winter-esque conditions. And if the Giants can get the running game going, I can see them dominating TOP and winning a close, low scoring game.

Something about the Falcons always seems off to me. They don't seem like a "tough" team, even last year with the 13-3 team, I wasn't surprised to see them bounced from the playoffs. Granted that was against a hot GB team, but still, Atlanta just doesn't seem like a team that "has it". Giants are built for this cold time of year, crappy secondary and all.

This whole Colts saga does feel surreal. They just fired Bill Polian who was the NFL Executive of the Year SIX times. And to top it off it appears they're likely to cut one of the best QB's of all-time, who never missed a single game until 2011, won an NFL record 4 league MVP's and arguably has at least 2-3 top-tier season left in him if he returns healthy.

Then again as weird as all that may be I'd probably pull off those same moves if I owned the Colts. Luck really is going to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. If the kid turns out to be only slightly below the Montana/Unitas/Brady/Marino caliber NFL quarterback he's probably going to be called a bust. The only college QB I can ever recall having even close to this kind of hype is none other than Peyton Manning, but even Peyton didn't have to follow a legend and win right away.

Easy to be an exec of the year when you've got a legend at the prime position running half the field. He's made tons of bad moves in my opinion. He did some good like passing on fatty haynesworth, but that was kind of an easy call.

Don't ever forget: Marlin Jackson, Addai, Ugoh, Corey Simon, and clinging to the Bob Sanders boat.

Well he did win two out of his last three. There seems to be a difference between winning two of three and losing your last ten games (Tampa). Illogical reasoning, but it has to be the only reason he's still around for now.

If I had to guess I'd say Caldwell is 95% gone. I just don't think Irsay wanted to dump everyone in one swoop. I think it's obvious to pretty much everyone that Caldwell was more of a problem than the Polians. And if the Polians are gone so too will Caldwell be very soon.

Won two out of last three LOL

He lost thirteen straight

This isn't a team devoid of talent like the Browns (Browns even have 4 wins)

As for this Jets fiasco, Brady and Belichick are laughing their asses off

Andrew Luck is playing his final college game right now in the Fiesta Bowl vs. Oklahoma St. Looking really good early.

So what happens if Luck suffers a career-ending injury in today's game? Do the Polians suddenly get re-hired and Irsay begs Peyton for forgiveness?

Outside of the magic 4 game Giants stretch in 2007, the Giants with Eli haven't won any other playoff games.

Is this Giants team the 2007 one?
