45-6.... is all that matters. Don't count on Rodgers doing what Favre did in the 2007 NFCC. Rodgers also spread the ball around a lot. Wasn't Eli more like 29-16. That's not even a 2-1 ratio. Over 7-1 plus Rodgers led in yard per completion.

After the Packers lost that one game everyone forgot how good they are. Don't forget that the Saints lost to TB and STL this year. Rodgers and company are STILL THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS.

Giants have not played anyone in their recent run. The dissappointing dream team was still in the hunt until late into the season. The Cowboys were a dysfunctional mess. Falcons only looked good in their last game before the Giants because TB already quit for Raheem Morris. Winning the NFC East at 9-7 is nothing to brag about.

I think it will be close this weekend, but I just don't see the Giants stopping Rodgers at home. The Giants might have a good D-line but their secondary is not much better than the Packers. At least the Packers secondary has a tendency of baiting QBs into throwing picks. Eli's numbers were no where near Rodgers yet some think he is elite. He's above average, but putting him in the same category of his brother is beyond comprehension.

I keep hearing about the Giants D-line being healthy, but the media doesn't mention that the Pack's O-line will be back to full strength with Clifton and Bulaga.
2007 Packers were 13-3 and crushed the Giants week 2. Eli is a lot better than he was in 2007 and they play in New York so why are you surprised about the love? It will be close and I picked the Giants to win though want the Packers to win. Just have a feeling. The Packers should be happy though. Less pressure on them this weekend.

Eli is knocking on elite's door. Don't sell him short.

I was there. Favre quit early in that game. He looked like a 38yo QB that day. Rodgers and McCarthy are not going let something like that happen again at Lambeau in the PO. Prior to the post season turnover machine version of Favre in the 2000s, GB was undefeated at Lambeau in the post season. Look for McCarthy and Rodgers to make a statement.

Eli might be better now but Rodgers is a much greater threat than the QB the Giants faced last time around.

Weren't the Giants playing for a playoff spot late last year at Lambeau? Seem to remember the Packers scoring 45 to the Giants 17.

I do think one reason and probably the biggest reason for the Giants winning that game was that Packers were viewed as heavy favorites and the big reason was because of the win earlier in the season. The Packers won't take them lightly this time around.

the thing is, the packers rested a lot of starters the last game of the season (really worried about them being rusty) and didn't play last week.

a lot of people seem to have forgotten about them as a whole…….and how well they did in the regular season.

they are focusing more on the giants and their playoff win and the packers defense being last....even though they went 15-1.

if the circumstances were different and the packers had played last week, I don’t think there would be this much focus on the giants.

I think there is so much focus on the Giants because of the remaining NFC teams, they stand the best chance to go into Lambeau and win. I don't see New Orleans winning in Green Bay and the 49ers don't have the offensive firepower to do it although they have a hell of a defense. I think Green Bay wins this weekend, but it will be close because the Giants matchup really well against the Packers.

Are all Brett Favre's siblings losers? In one story his brother received a pardon for past crimes - namely driving drunk in front of a train years ago. He was one of the 200+ controversial pardons the Mississippi Gov made earlier this week.

In another story his sister got arrested in a massive meth lab bust and is now being sued by neighbors because their homes were destroyed by the meth fumes.

Brett Favre's sister has been accused of destroying a house ... by creating a gargantuan amount of dangerous meth fumes ... this according to a new lawsuit.

Brett's younger sister Brandi Favre was arrested in a massive meth bust in Mississippi last year -- and now, a couple that lives next door to the alleged meth lab claims the fumes from the manufacturing process have wreaked havoc on their home.

According to the lawsuit, the couple claims a meth screening company detected "widespread meth contamination" in their home after Brandi's January 2011 arrest -- and recommended the entire place be cleaned.

As a result, the couple claims they had to find a new home for 5 months while their house was restored to a livable condition -- not only inconvenient ... but massively expensive.

The couple is now suing Brandi and her alleged accomplices for unspecified damages. Attempts to reach Brandi -- whose case is still pending before a grand jury -- were unsuccessful.

Quote:
The brother of former NFL quarterback and Mississippi native Brett Favre has been pardoned by Haley Barbour, whose last day as governor was Tuesday.

State records released Tuesday show Earnest Scott Favre had his record cleared in the 1996 death of his best friend, Mark Haverty. Scott Favre was among dozens of people pardoned or given early release in Barbour's final days in office. The Republican left office Tuesday, at the end of his second term.

Favre had driven in front of a train in Pass Christian while drunk. He pleaded guilty in 1997 and was sentenced to a year of house arrest followed by two years' probation.

Calls went unanswered Tuesday to a listing for a Scott Favre.

i'll take 8-8 over 5-11 any season

Until we play, you can just keep

NFL Blackout Rule Under Review By FCC

This stupid rule needs to go. It doesn't affect me, but still. The teams always end up buying the remaining tickets, so I don't see the point of it.

If Peyton goes anywhere it will be to a team that ALREADY has the pieces in place to win a Super Bowl in 1-3 years. Like the Jets. With Manning their receivers would have significantly more value and I think it would open up their run game to the 5 yards per carry range. Their defense is already very good, especially under Rex Ryan, he's a great defensively minded guy. But if you put Peyton Manning under center and let him loose with the play calling I can see them in the Super Bowl 2 times in the next 3 years.

Depends where he values himself, we already saw he wanted the most money. Jets really couldn't pay because of their situation. It'll all depend what he wants; Money= Redskins kind of team, Wins= Jets, Cards, exc..

Hold on there with the wanted the most money. It was Irsay who kept talking even bragging about how he was going to make Peyton the highest paid player in the league. Peyton took less overall money than Irsay wanted to give him.

Yes, but do we have Manning saying he didn't want that? Again we don't know what was said behind the scenes, but your right he didn't MAX it out in that sense.

When your brother signs a bigger contract than the current one you had, what choice does Irsay really have to give him a large contract? Also as Manning is part of the NFLPA, they certainly don't want him screwing them over. If he signs a quite reduced contract, that doesn't help them in negotiations.

That needs to happen. If all player salaries were more evenly distributed you would see much more parity in football. I'm tired of seeing $15+ MILLION/year QB's on half the teams in the game. I understand backl;oading so it'd be ok if the last 1-2 years were high but the average for QB's and RB's is way too high these days. When offensive linemen and other less "valued" players are left in the dust.

There's more than enough rules protecting QB's, how bout they spread the wealth around. No one guy should have 20-25% of the teams yearly salary cap.

I would love to see Manning sign a 3 year 15-20 million deal with someone else, then play spectacular. Really would put a dent in the overpaying for certain players.

Why would he wanna go to the jets ?

the team is falling apart
have to play in cold windy weather
showup his brother by playing in the same city
have to deal with conservative playcaller tony sporano.
