Another great NFL weekend, cant wait for the Super Bowl, congrats to both the Giants and the Pats! Should be a another GREAT game, cant wait!... I hate the Pats with a passion, but I think they will win, Brady and co will be looking for revenge from 07...

Pats 21- Giants 17

Niners need some receivers bad! and cut that punt returner as well ... I feel really bad for the Ravens as well, both terrible ways to lose a game ...

I called you a Tebow 'hater' because of your obvious dislike for the man.

Receivers? How about a QB that knows how to throw? Crabtree, Davis are great when they have a catchable pass.

Crabtree is a scrub, and a lot of Niner fans agree with me, Alex Smith is not the Niners problem...

He sure looked awesome relying on his legs instead of his arm and throwing all those passes over receivers' heads or into the dirt. What was their 3rd down conversion rate again, like 3/14? Nice.

Gotta admit, I was so disappointed in the 49er last night. They really need to get 2-3 proven wide receivers like Cruz. Man...that guy knows how to catch and run route...unlike Craptree.

Who's to blame? play calling? or maybe no one and credit Giants defense?

It hurts a lot when 49er was so close in going to the Super Bowl.... We may never see them come this close again for many years because the future in unpredictable.

And what's up with Vernon Davis man with the first 15 yard penalty celebration..the next drive Giants scored a TD with good field. So many people to blame really.

I'm not a fan of Alex Smith...but if he doesn't have any wide receivers who can get open...then it's not his fault.

just venting...

Go New England! and yes, Peyton Manning is far greater than Eli Manning.

I think the 49ers problems lie more with the receivers than the quarterback. Vernon Davis played great in the postseason but they don't have a single quality wide receiver. Crabtree has proven nothing in his career and can't be considered a good receiver just because he was good in college and a top-10 pick. I think looking purely at wide receivers the 49ers might be the second-worst team in the league ahead of only Jacksonville.

You have to think they will go after someone like Vincent Jackson or draft a WR with their top pick.

How did Romo do yesterday? Oh thats right he wasent there, you should worry more about the Cowgirls problems than talking so much smack about Alex Smith and the Niners....

Its like me, a Raiders fan, trying to talk smack to a Niner fan about the loss when my team didn't even make the playoffs .... Go do something better with your time

Well said Fate, Crabtree has been a scrub, they need WR's bad!

Oh btw, good luck in the Super Bowl

It's actually a pretty strong free agency group at wide receiver. Like you said V Jax is available, as is Marques Colston, Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson, Brandon Lloyd, Robert Meachem, Reggie Wayne, Mario Manningham, and Laurent Robinson. Dwayne Bowe and Stevie Johnson are free agents as well but may be franchised, and Wes Welker will be franchised if a deal can't be reached. Mike Wallace is a restricted free agent and will certainly be tendered at the highest level but a team with a late pick like the 49ers might decide he's worth a first and third round pick.

Free agent CB Carlos Rogers said Monday that he hopes to re-sign with the 49ers before free agency opens on March 13.
The feeling is mutual, although beat reporter Matt Maiocco says the Niners only want Rogers back "at the right price." Rogers turns 31 before next season, so the franchise tag could be a logical compromise if the sides don't reach a long-term agreement. Teams can begin applying franchise tags beginning on February 20. This year's franchise tag deadline is March 5.

I Think Tom Brady will go to another Super Bowl or two before he retires. 6-7 Super Bowl appearances

It's amazing how a team that is rebuilding the defense can reach the Super Bowl. Patriots have some nice draft picks in the bank too.

Patriots fans must really hate Bernard Pollard by now, he injures Brady, Welker, and now Gronk.

I don't dislike him. I dislike the undue praise he gets. The fact that you can't see the difference says a lot about you as a fan.

BTW, here's what got called me a "Hater" of Eli Manning. This is what I've said negative about him:

1) He turns the ball over too much, and even when he isn't he tries to and needs to stop.
2) Because of #1 he doesn't deserve the Hall of Fame (yet).
3) Alex Smith had a higher QB rating than Eli yesterday.

If that's "hating" a player, then I can't imagine how you people would respond to actual...you know...hate.

What does a game against the Ravens have to do with playing the Giants two weeks later. I'll bet Brady is more fired up that he's ever been to get revenge on the Giants.

Patriots - 31
Giants - 17

The Giants defense look like world beaters at this point, they've given up only 12.33 points on average in these playoffs. Zero to the Falcons and a generous 20 (questionable calls) to the Packers. The Giants held one of the best offensives of all time to 14 points in XLII.

I'm not optimistic about the Patriots chances

Eli is like Brady in his early years and Brady is now Peyton.

Eli can rely on the great defense and Brady has to carry the team like Peyton did.

Earlier this season you said that it's hard for you to like Tebow because, (and I am paraphrasing here) you have been through a lot of rough stretches in life. You implied that Tebow has lived a relatively easy life in comparison to other people. Judging from your posts, you don't seem to be crazy about the kid. I think that is a fair assessment. It's fine that you don't like him, but I love everything he stands for. I find him to be an amazing human being who I love to root for. And please don't judge me as a fan, I love this game with every fiber of my being. Please.
