Sources say Dolphins on Peyton Manning’s short list of desired landing spots

Manning and his wife own a condo on South Beach and a source said they’d love to relocate to South Florida if the fit is right. A second source confirmed Manning’s interest in the Dolphins.

Playing for the Dolphins would allow Manning to remain in the AFC, and the Colts are on Miami’s schedule next season, which is an added bonus.

Unlike most of Manning’s suitors, the Dolphins have the cap space (roughly $15 million) to get a multi-year deal down without making major moves, and should feature a solid defense – they finished sixth in points allowed per game – to make the Dolphins playoff contenders if the offense improves.

It would make sense for Ross from a business standpoint, it would bring fans to the stadium and Ross wants the Dolphins to be the talk of the town (obviously). And since the 2013 Draft is projected to be a good one QB wise, the Dolphins could draft a QB late in the 1st round and let him learn alongside Manning for a season or 2.

Peyton signing with Miami concurrent with the Florida Marlins' relocation/new stadium/offseason acquisitions and the Miami Heat's reign in the NBA would turn the city into one of the premier sports towns in the U.S.

And the Tampa Bay Lightning just up the coast are no slouches, either.

I would love to see Peyton (at hopefully 100%) go to the Jets or Dolphins. The Poutriots need some real competition in their division.

Like a lot of other teams I think the Boys need to draft pass rush. Ware can't do it all himself. He needs a buddy, unless they can wrestle Freeney (or Mathis?) over to their team in free agency.

Actually I want a NT so we can move Ratliff to the DE spot on the other side of Hatcher, at that point Spencer would probably be enough at LOLB. Assuming we can re-sign him for a smaller contract, who knows how much he's going to ask for. Also need to re-sign Laurent Robinson, which may eat up a good portion of our cap.

I am staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs for my birthday vacation in DisneyWorld. My hotel is going to be playing the Super Bowl on a nice big screen by the pool. This will be a fun new way to enjoy the Super Bowl. My room is very close to this pool. I am thinking I will listen to talk about the Super Bowl online and on tv in my room and I will swim some and when it gets closer to when the game will start I will walk over to watch the Super Bowl on the big screen. This will be a fun day

And that will be the 4th WR (5th if you include Davis) above the 3rd round since 2008 we are almost as bad as Detroit going Johnson, Rodgers and Williams.

Cris Carter, Andre Reed, Jerome Bettis, and Bill Parcells are all obviously worthy of the HoF, and I hope they don't have to wait much longer. :/
