Yeah, it undoubtedly should be a federal holiday. That way everyone would get a three day weekend, and drink as much as they want during the game.

Usually I just go ahead and schedule one of my vacation days for the day after the Super Bowl every year. But ya, I know not everyone even gets vacation days or paid days off of any kind. In the U.S. worker rights rival that of a 3rd world country.

Here's one positive thing about Super Bowls in recent years.

Last 10 Super Bowls (2001-2010 season): 6 of 10 decided by <7 points, 4 of 10 decided by a FG or less.

In the 10 years prior to that (1991-2000 season): 2 of 10 decided by 7 points or less, 0 of 10 decided by a FG of less

I remember watching my first Super Bowls as a kid in the late-80's-mid-90's and to be honest the vast majority of them sucked. They were mostly one-sided games that were over by halftime. Pretty much all of them were just the NFC kicking the AFC team's ass. It's nice to be in an era where the games are for the most part very competitive.

Yeah dude, the only memorable Super Bowl that took place in between Scott Norwood's missed FG (1991) and One Yard Short (2000) was the Elway/Favre game in 1998.

He might as well. He's a very good coach and all but without Brady we saw what he was like years ago when he coached the Browns. He was 36-44 in 5 seasons with Cleveland. Doubt he wants to go back to having mediocre teams.

No idea, don't care about the game but going to the brother-in-law's to see it so I can visit with family, will probably hang with the niece a lot during the broadcast.

Have you ever seen the Paul Newman salsas in your grocery store? At the Publixes around here, they're not actually in the chip/dip aisle but in the ethnic foods aisle...

Anyway, I'm bringing chips and Newman's peach salsa (soooooo good!) to my friend's house, and he's gonna provide wings and whatever else. Even people who don't like salsa like this stuff.

There are a lot of really good Newman's Own salsa flavors, though (I also really like the black bean & corn flavor).
