Yeah, ok? NYC is getting at least half of the money that's coming in. Not to mention that the hotels/restaurants and other places in NYC are going to make a killing those two weeks.

Statistically speaking, yes you are right.

But the greatest performance in Super Bowl history belongs to Doug Williams against Elway's heavily favored Broncos in the 42-10 Super Bowl, and I expect it will never be surpassed.

6 TD's by Steve Young against the Chargers mean anything?

And I personally agree with Tony, Eli can't ever take over a game and just stomp the hell out of teams, he's got to have tons of help (again amazing catch by Manningham in the 4th and a defense that carried him)

San Francisco 10:1

Assuming he can make a comeback physically I'm sure he could make any of these teams a good deal better. Some of these teams could definitely be a serious contender with a relatively healthy Peyton. Of course it's hard to say if there's a good chance of that happening.

Ravens, Texans, 49ers are definitely not looking for a qb and i dont think Arizona is ready to give up on Kolb just yet.. i think Peyton will go if he plays to the Dolphins

To be fair, that pass was in the only place it could've been and Manningham made a fantastic catch. It was the right play at the right time. I HATE to admit it since I hate the Giants more than any other team in the NFL but Eli is the best QB in our division, if only because he has 2 rings and he seems to be the most clutch.

Are you kidding me? The 49ers were favored to win that game by 18.5 points.

Although the Broncos were only 3-pt favorites in Super Bowl 22, the media didn't give Doug Williams a chance of winning that game against Elway because, yes I'm going to say it, he was black.

Then he went down injured in the first quarter of the game. But against all odds, he led his team back from the largest deficit in Super Bowl history, throwing four TDs in the second quarter. Any "greatest performances" list that doesn't have Doug Williams' gutsy performance in this Super Bowl at #1 is full of shit. It's not always about who posts the biggest numbers; it's more about who responds in the adversity of the moment.

I agree. The Giants are our rivals but they got it done and beat THE best teams to do it. I was actually rooting for the Giants because I really can't stand the Patriots at all. I hate the Giants but something about the way the media was ready to anoint Brady and Belichik as the greatest ever leading up to the Super Bowl was going to make me sick to my stomach if they had won.

Giants are built right with arguably the best offensive and defensive lines in the league to start, too bad Jerry thinks getting more receivers and projects every year is the way to go. Hopefully at #14 this April the Cowboys will take another piece they can build around and not another project. Oh right, I still like Dez a lot but this year he needs to take the next step or we need to move on.

They really do and it showed in this game. Other than 3 sacks on Eli Manning, they allowed squat. Those sacks were the only times they got close all game. On the other hand, there was a guy in Brady's face like every snap in the 4th quarter.

On paper, the Patriots are pretty much outmatched at every position except QB, TE, and DT. They really had no business being in the Super Bowl with that defense but got there thanks to a weak AFC this year.

I don't know why the Cowboys and Falcons took receivers in the first round when they need other guys a lot more. Maybe they're taking advice from Matt Millen?

I'd still take Romo over him.

1. Doesn't have the weapons
2. Doesn't have the Oline (even when he had T.O. he had an Oline built for run game),
3. Doesn't have the support I mean Coughlin would have been canned in Philly, Was, and Dallas (same with all the coordinators)

Manning is a product of whats around him, and he is successful, and he is a good qb.

Its like in school when you've got a teacher that does test prep, good walkthroughs, lots of communication. As opposed to the big named guys they hire, get tenure, and then say "you want to pass read the book and pray to god you read the right parts".

Agree switch sides and I bet Brady drops 3+ touchdowns and 400 yards, yet Eli eeks out a win in the last minute.

But again who cares what I say, because they still get a trophy, and we still have to hear about how great they are for 2 weeks, before combine talk

Romo should be a backup. He is nowhere near the QB. The Cowboys need to rebuild in many places, starting with Jerry at GM.

Well the year is officially over. And any year the Patriots (Cheaters) or Steelers (Rapist) DON'T win a super bowl is a good year in my book.

Eli need to be in talks when talking elite nowadays. He may not be the top QB, but he has the rings, plural. As in more than Rodgers, more than Brees, more than Peyton. Say that he had a better team all you want, truth is the Packers and Saints were considered better teams all year.

Now let's get on to the Combine and Draft!

This attitude is so unbelievable. Romo as a backup? He's _easily_ a top 10 QB in the league. Arguably top 5.

Romo is not the Cowboys problem.

I'm reminded of another Dallas star...Nowitzki. Nowitzki's run last year in the playoffs wasn't a different Nowitzki. It just had better support. People remember Dirk's terrible series against the Golden State Warriors as "the real Dirk", so they completely ignored the fact that THAT series was the anomaly.

It's the same with Romo. People remember the bad, and nothing he can do short of winning a Superbowl will make people realize Romo isn't the bad player he used to be. Unfortunately for Romo, unlike Dirk, there are far too many deficiencies in this Dallas team. They have no O-line. No D-line. No Secondary. Too bad he isn't playing 7 on 7, because there he could out-offense teams.

Swap Romo for Sanchez of the Jets and I would bet money Romo has a ring, and the Cowboys are coming off their 3rd straight 4-12 season (or so).

I, for one, truly believe that Peyton Manning is the only QB in the league who _might_ have a ring with these Cowboys, just because of what he's done with an equally bad team (at times) in Indy. But probably not.

*EDIT* I really don't understand why people believe the QB truly matters when it comes to Superbowl wins. Some awful QBs have rings. Meanwhile, Tom Brady hasn't been able to get one since he lost his awesome Defense. Does Brady suck now? After all, he "can't do it" without an amazing Defense.

It's hard not to feel bad for Brady, watching him after that game was hard to see. He was so completely demoralized. Congrats to the Giants though, they played the better game. Both quarterbacks were sensational.

Don't forget to blame the Falcons, Packers, and 49ers for not stopping the Giants in the playoffs.

I don't feel bad for him. I mean, I'm biased as a Giants fan, but still... He wanted to win this game because he was sick of hearing about the Giants defense, according to the media. That's not the right reason to win.

This guy already has how many SB rings? And he's married to a supermodel (she doesn't really turn my crank, but whatever), after dumping his pregnant girlfriend (a much hotter Bridget Moynahan... again, just my opinion). Tom Brady will be just fine.

I was thinking the same, but at the end of the day he has 3 rings and 5 AFC Titles under his belt. Most guys play their entire career without sniff at the big game.

I really don't feel like going on a rant, so I'm only going to say two things. First, Tom Brady needs to stop trying to throw the deep ball. He's never had great accuracy on deep throws but he had Randy Moss who would either make unbelievable catches or at least knock the ball down. He doesn't have a player like Moss anymore that can compensate for his bad throws. Second, the Patriots have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds in the draft and it's time to stop trading picks and address the defense. The offense is set and they shouldn't lose anyone but they need to retool every aspect of their defense. Brady isn't getting any younger and it's time to actually use all the stockpiled picks.

First I want to congradulate the Giants for winning the Superbowl. Hats off to them, they had a great run and won it all. Second I want to say that I am proud of the Patriots. They had a great year but just couldnt pull it out in the end. It happenes to the best of them and with Brady and coach Belicheck at the helm they are always going to be contenders and I am sure they will make it to many more Superbowls. That being said......................

I am also a Cowboys fan and am tired of Romo always getting the heat for when the Boys fail. This past season he did his job the best he could. Its not Romos fault that the defense sucked, the O line was mediocre and some of his so-called star recievers dropped passes. Get the problems fixed with the O Line, put a good defense on the feild, get some recievers who can catch passes and keep Jerry from making dumb assed decisions and guess what? The Cowboys can get back to the glory days of the past. Then we will see just how good Tony Romo is.
