This guy already has how many SB rings? And he's married to a supermodel (she doesn't really turn my crank, but whatever), after dumping his pregnant girlfriend (a much hotter Bridget Moynahan... again, just my opinion). Tom Brady will be just fine.

Well I feel bad for him. I love Brady because he's a warrior and fierce competitor. He's had to work for everything to become as good as he is, and he plays the game with heart and desire. For me, it was hard to see him after that game.

He doesn't have a player like Moss anymore that can compensate for his bad throws. Second, the Patriots have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds in the draft and it's time to stop trading picks and address the defense. The offense is set and they shouldn't lose anyone but they need to retool every aspect of their defense. Brady isn't getting any younger and it's time to actually use all the stockpiled picks.
That last deep ball to Gronk probably wouldn't have been picked if he wasn't gimped. He had pretty much zero mobility to stop and come back to the ball. I firmly believe New England would have won without the drops as well. I mean how many times have we seen Welker make that catch?

The Cowboys can win, they just need to start Romo the whole game, then pull him for the last 1-2 possessions. He's like the anti-clutch guy.

Secondly, fatediesel is SOOOOOOOOO right. Belicheck is great at stockpiling picks, but never using them. You can't go through your career forever never taking first round guys. Yeah they cost more, and have a bit of an ego, but there's a reason they go in the first round. Pure talent. If they drafted 4 quality defensive players in the first 2 rounds and DEFINED their defense, they could be way scarier.

Either go like the Jets and get shut down corners, or like the Steelers/Ravens/Giants etc and get a great pass rush. Everyone plays the Patriots with one goal, keep Brady off the field. The Patriots need to try and keep him ON the field.

I know I'll probably sound like a bitter Pats fan, but I'd find it a lot easier to cope with the loss if the Patriots did what people expected. Leading up to the game all the talk was how the Patriots would use the no-huddle offense to put pressure on the Giants defense and slow down the pass rush, but I don't remember seeing them use it all that often.

I know people are going to say that Manningham's catch down the sideline and the ensuing challenge resulting in a loss of one of the Patriot's timeouts was the play that changed the game, or even Welker's missed catch. The real play that decided the game was the running play on the Patriot's final first down before the Giant's game-winning drive. Might have been the worst offensive play call the Pats made all season. It had no chance of ever gaining a yard, none.

Ultimately it came down to execution, as the Pats like to say, and the Giant's executed, while the Pats made far too many mistakes.

Yeah, I think Saints, Packers and Niners could all have beaten that Patriots team even without their best game.

If he goes to Washington, we will see how valuable he is. From Grossman to Manning, what an upgrade that would be! Heck, Colts went from Super Bowl contender to a 2-14 team without him!

And I personally agree with Tony, Eli can't ever take over a game and just stomp the hell out of teams, he's got to have tons of help (again amazing catch by Manningham in the 4th and a defense that carried him)
Brady's not elite either then because he escaped with a victory against only one team above .500 all season. Brady lost twice to Eli's Giants on top of that.

I don't feel bad for him. He lost fair and square. Demoralized is how the Raiders felt after that bullshit Tuck Rule call ten years ago (which I still hold against the Patriots ).

I get the whole stand by your man thing and all, but this is a little over the top. Belichick and Brady are masters at having no opinions and saying nothing to the media about anything, Brady's wife just demolished his own teammates.

Watching your husband's team lose the Super Bowl can't be easy, but nobody expected this kind of reaction from the world's most famous supermodel.

Gisele Bundchen tossed Tom Brady's teammates under the bus following the Giants 21-17 upset of the Patriots in the Super Bowl. The Brazilian beauty was caught in a moment of weakness by TheInsider.com waiting for an elevator as she left the suites at Lucas Oil Stadium.

A few Giants fans started heckling her about Brady's performance as she walked quickly through the concourse. After initially smiling and even trying to ignore the fans, Bundchen let her guard down just long enough to deliver a foul-mouthed defense of her man -- and a sideswipe of his receivers.

"You (have) to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball," she is heard saying. "My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."

Pats receivers Wes Welker, Deion Branch and Aaron Hernandez all dropped passes. As a team, New England dropped at least four catchable balls.

Bundchen, 31, married the Patriots star in February 2009. The Brazilian fashion model is believed to have a net worth of more than $150 Million.

The couple is expected to spend much of the off-season at a new $20 million mansion in Los Angeles.

Given the epic mismatch that was the Niners-Chargers I'd say it takes away from it somewhat. I think that 1994 season Super Bowl point spread was the highest ever at 17 points. Not taking away from Steven Young, but everyone knew it was going to be a bloodbath, and it was.

That was a horsesh*t call (one of the worst I've ever seen). Back in '92 Belijerk ran Bernie Kosar (my all-time fave player) out of Cleveland on a rail. It was brutal the way this dipsh*t treated the Browns' Legend. I'll never forget it. Any time a Belijerk team fails...I'm all .

It happenes to the best of them and with Brady and coach Belicheck at the helm they are always going to be contenders and I am sure they will make it to many more Superbowls. That being said......................

I am also a Cowboys fan and am tired of Romo always getting the heat for when the Boys fail. This past season he did his job the best he could. Its not Romos fault that the defense sucked, the O line was mediocre and some of his so-called star recievers dropped passes. Get the problems fixed with the O Line, put a good defense on the feild, get some recievers who can catch passes and keep Jerry from making dumb assed decisions and guess what? The Cowboys can get back to the glory days of the past. Then we will see just how good Tony Romo is.

1. Doesn't have the weapons
2. Doesn't have the Oline (even when he had T.O. he had an Oline built for run game),
3. Doesn't have the support I mean Coughlin would have been canned in Philly, Was, and Dallas (same with all the coordinators)

Manning is a product of whats around him, and he is successful, and he is a good qb.

Its like in school when you've got a teacher that does test prep, good walkthroughs, lots of communication. As opposed to the big named guys they hire, get tenure, and then say "you want to pass read the book and pray to god you read the right parts".

Agree switch sides and I bet Brady drops 3+ touchdowns and 400 yards, yet Eli eeks out a win in the last minute.

But again who cares what I say, because they still get a trophy, and we still have to hear about how great they are for 2 weeks, before combine talk

Romo is not the Cowboys problem.

I'm reminded of another Dallas star...Nowitzki. Nowitzki's run last year in the playoffs wasn't a different Nowitzki. It just had better support. People remember Dirk's terrible series against the Golden State Warriors as "the real Dirk", so they completely ignored the fact that THAT series was the anomaly.

It's the same with Romo. People remember the bad, and nothing he can do short of winning a Superbowl will make people realize Romo isn't the bad player he used to be. Unfortunately for Romo, unlike Dirk, there are far too many deficiencies in this Dallas team. They have no O-line. No D-line. No Secondary. Too bad he isn't playing 7 on 7, because there he could out-offense teams.

Swap Romo for Sanchez of the Jets and I would bet money Romo has a ring, and the Cowboys are coming off their 3rd straight 4-12 season (or so).

I, for one, truly believe that Peyton Manning is the only QB in the league who _might_ have a ring with these Cowboys, just because of what he's done with an equally bad team (at times) in Indy. But probably not.

*EDIT* I really don't understand why people believe the QB truly matters when it comes to Superbowl wins. Some awful QBs have rings. Meanwhile, Tom Brady hasn't been able to get one since he lost his awesome Defense. Does Brady suck now? After all, he "can't do it" without an amazing Defense.
I actually agree with Sleeper Agent after this season. Romo is a top 5 QB for the first 3 quarters but for whatever reason is either mediocre or bad in the 4th quarter. The mediocre to bad defense and lack of a running game or offensive line doesn't help either. Upgrade both lines and the secondary and Romo's probably good enough, even in the stacked NFC, to get us deep into the play-offs.

Production-wise I'll say yes, personality-wise the difference is night and day. I'd also argue Romo is probably a lot more intelligent than LeBron as well.

He's going to be 32 this season and his contract is only for the 2012 and 2013 seasons, I would imagine they will allow him to move on unless we go deep into the play-offs in 2012 or 2013 or both. Romo is not the problem anyway, he just gets a lot of the blame since he's the QB for probably still the most high profile team in the NFL. I blame Jerry for that but that old coot is never going to change.
