The Chargers-Cowboys preseason game scheduled for August 20 has been moved to August 21 and will be aired nationally on NBC. This is being done to make up for NBC losing the Hall of Fame game.

#Cowboys gave big deals in '08 to T.O., Ken Hamlin, Flozell Adams, Marion Barber, Terence Neman & Roy Williams. Newman only 1 still on team.

A team source tells CBS Sports' Clark Judge that the Redskins are willing to take "anything they can gain in return" in a trade for Albert Haynesworth.
The same source insists two things: 1) Haynesworth will be traded and not cut, and 2) the Redskins will make sure he doesn't go to the division rival Eagles with old line coach Jim Washburn. "They'll give him away for a ham sandwich instead of cutting him and running the risk of his showing up in Philadelphia," said the source. Aside from the Eagles, Haynesworth's market is unclear at this time. He's expected to show for Redskins camp later this week.

NFL Network's Mike Lombardi reports that Chris Johnson "will under no circumstances" report to Titans training camp without a new contract.
Lombardi expects Johnson to "dig in" with regard to his contract stance, targeting a monster deal for a running back. It's worth noting that NFL Network's Jason La Canfora and the Nashville Tennessean reported similar things in June, so the story is legit. The Titans could potentially use an Adrian Peterson extension as a jump-off point for negotiations. Johnson is known to be in search of a "history" deal. His current salary is a measly $800,000.

Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times says the Seahawks have acquired a quarterback and are no longer interested in re-signing Matt Hasselbeck. O'Neil doesn't say who the Seahawks acquired, but it is believed to be Tarvaris Jackson.

So soon Tarvaris Jackson could be starting for Seattle, throwing to Nate Burleson and Sidney Rice, that could be hilarious. Well not for those guys' fantasy owners.

Dave Mahler of 950 WKJR Seattle and Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times both report the Seahawks have agreed to terms with QB Tarvaris Jackson.
Jackson is set to reunite with offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell as the Seahawks signal their intention to use 2011 as a building year. The Jackson vs. Whitehurst competition is bad news for the fantasy potential of the Seahawks receivers -- and about as thrilling as the Rexy vs. Becksy battle in Washington. Seattle figures to move from Kevin Kolb, all but ensuring a trade between the Cardinals and Eagles.

Now maybe Sidney will not be going to Seattle, who would want to play with Tarvaris?

Sidney just wants to get paid and now I'm hearing the Vikings are discussing McNabb with the Redskins, a move I've seen coming since he left the Iggles.

Yeah, I just read that too, I don't want McNabb, he is way past his prime but as long he is the back-up, I would be okay with it

So they finally dumped old iron hands Roy Williams. That guy was just terrible from day 1. I still can't believe they ever gave that guy $54 mill with $26 mill guaranteed.

Defensive end Charles Johnson has agreed to a six-year, $76 million contract to stay with the Carolina Panthers. $32 million is guaranteed and Johnson will get a $30 million signing bonus.

Jerry Jones as Cowboys GM is the reason they have sucked the last 15 years. Things won't change this year. I won't be surprised by another losing season this year. Barber and Roy were good cuts, Leonard Davis not so much. But its obvious the Cowboys don't want Doug Free to go. If he does they are very screwed on the O-Line.

Not bad choices at all, really hope it's Johnson though, man was a TD machine in college.
Ogletree will be the #3 receiver. However, I could see rookie Dwayne Harris making a push to be the primary slot receiver.

Agreed, would like to see Johnson get a shot. Ogletree and Hurd have had chances and neither did much with it. You'll probably see Bennett in some of those WR sets too.
